Is there anything other than the pieces of the Equalizer(sword) worth getting in the underdark ? I want to get back to the surface so I am just doing what needs to be accomplished to complete the primary quest. However I heard that two of the pieces to the equalizer where in the underdark so I have gone just far enough into the beholder and mind flayer lairs to get them and then left. Are there any other exceptional items worth doing those whole areas ??? Or just exps ?

you will find you HAVE to do the Beholders, whether you want to or not! And doing the other places is also very rewarding! They may SEEM impossible, but they are not. Go for it!

Its all tactics. Use alot of summoned creatures and it makes it alot easier.. use things like Fire Elementals as much as possible. Kill everything in there thats a PILE of XP waiting for you to make another level. you need all you can get and this isnt so bad a way to make that level. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Shield of Balduran makes it easy!
There is also a nice amulet to pick up!
Getting the sword parts are extremely easy.
Kill 2 beholders at the entrance and 1 Illithid

is the girdle for Crom Faeyr in th Kao Tuoa (sp) lair/dungeon?
When you say the Gordon Plate is on the Matron I assume I can get it after the Dragon kills her right ?
What are the attributes ?

Is there any time limit on how long I can take between when the Matron asks me to get the eggs and when I give the fake ones to her ?

Sorry, I was thinking preventative rather than curative. Dispel magic/Remove Magic comes to mind. Charms counter existing charms

How about the time question ? Do you have a limited amount of time from when the Matron gives you the task to when you return with the goods for her to begin her ritual ?

Don't think so. I always had the items beforehand anyway, so it was never an issue. I'd drop the items outside, get the quest, go out, pick up the bits and do the post-Matron sub-quests on the level before popping back

I thought remove magic was a spell that worked against enemies not your own team members ?

Remove Magic only works on enemy, while Dispel Magic works on ALL.

Alaxander1 the amulet is the on the Beholder Elder with the sword blade or is it hilt. I can't remember but I think it gives you either +10% mag resistance or +2 saving throws, or +5HP and many other good things!
