Nalia really ouch... well it all depends on your main player. If its a tank i say go with

Viconia, Edwin, Minsc, Korgan, Jan. Maybe swap Minsc for Jaheira or Keldorn depending on your style.

For a mage main character i say
Korgan, Minsc, Valygar, Viconia, Jan, swapping valygar for either keldorn or Mazzy (short bow woo she rokcs)

For a cleric main character i say
Minsc, Edwin, Keldorn, Korgan, Jan. =)

Yeah as you can see.. i love taking Jan, Korgan, and Minsc.

Edwin is the best mage you can get NPC wise, Jan for thief and korgan as the best pure fighter =)

Right now i have a sorc main, which is a lot of fun IMHO, and Jaheira, Valygar, Mazzy, Aerie, and Jan. Its not the best party but its fun to toy with this arrangement. =)

me (Thief-11 dual to Conjurer Mage-19)
Jaheira (Fighter-15, Druid-14)
Keldorn (Paladin-20)
Minsc (Ranger-20)
Imoen (Thief-7, dual Mage-19)
Aerie (Cleric-15, Mage-14)

Whatever your lead character, take:

MINSC & BOO - Good tank. Funny. Never been killed in my games.
Keldorn - Good tank. V useful! <u>OR</u> Mazzy - Just rocks! Great personality!
Jan - Funny, and all round useful. Pretty good thief, too!
Aerie - Medic AND magic
Jaheira - medic/fight

Who to swap out when you get Imoen back? That will depend on your lead character class - if tank, ditch Mazzy/Keldorn. If Thief type, ditch Jan, etc. Hang on to your Medics, though!

Notice that you get 3x magic missile in any battle because you have both Me(Sorcerer), Jan and Aerie, Minsc and Valygar can heal minor hurts, Keldorn dispells charm and domination, Minsc, Keldorn and Valygar chop up your enemies, Aerie can also do that if you give her: Shield Of Reflection, Mace Of Disruption, and as an optional you can also add the Robe Of The Good Archmagi, Jan fills the thief role, and he has haste from when you get him, haste is a must-have, Me(Sorcerer) can also get chopping if he has an Archmagi robe, and Jan can too if you give him one of the game's many powerful magical shortswords.

Aerie - powerful priest and mage *
Imoen - a thief and mage, coupled with Gesen Bow
Anomen - his cleric powers are powerful IMO, not much of a fighter though *

My character is in romances with all *'d characters. BTW the Aerie romance seems to have ended. does it resume in TOB?

LOL do you have a bisexual pc or are those romances for different characters?
