alxander1, I heard if you dump him before you enter spell hold you can get him back later on and he is allright! But he dies (Bug) but you can fix that with one of the many ressurection spells. If you kill him you can put him to rest by purifying his heart but I say......

Can you dump him on the pirate island, so you can pick him up for the Underdark? or do you have to dump him in Athkalta before sailing?

I like him. He's a capable fighter with blade and bow, a fair thief (second only to Jan) and fills a slot in a party as the scout very nicely. Plus, his betrayal adds a lot to the feel of 'plot' in BG2, and further underscores the cunning and cruelty of Irenicus. He vanishes just in time to allow Imoen into the party, with none of that messy party-changing involved. And...

You can drop Yoshi anywhere you want, but Id advise its near a door in a small building, and just as an Extra note he looses all his equipment when you come back to get him, so make sure you take everything away from him before dumping! http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Imoen is a nice girl, but a rubbish Thief. My advice to anyone starting a new game is to have your lead char a Thief or multi-Thief, and dump Yoshi as soon as you get out of the first dungeon. I say dump him once you get Jan, that way you at least have a thief in your party, then at least the experience you gain will go to a character that you can use throughout the game, rahter than someone who you cannot use in the end. I think its also good to bail on Yosh becuase i was a bastard and trapped the liches and dragons and missed all the good fights. =(
