I was asking myself : When I 'll get Imoen back, at wich level will she be? Because i have a high level party (I did everything on chapter 2, the hole continent) with an average of level 15 per person and I don,t want to have to protect her everytime.

If I remember right, she will be just the way you left her, except that she'll be needing some clothes and stuff. Remember to carry extra things for her...she'll need all the help you can afford. (but is worth it, to my party, anyway...)

I was worried about the same thing re Imoen, but once you are able to clothe/arm her she levels up pretty quickly and catches up for the most part with the rest of the party. Did you have Yoshimo in your party?

Anyone else can confirm that Imoen will be a level 8 or 9 mage when you get her back.

I am trying to remember. I think she is level 8 or 9 when you get her back, but not certain. I had Nalia in my party, left her in the Asylum. And as I recall, I don't remember it hurting me any. And my party was high level at the time. And Imoen is a way better thief than Nalia.

Yes , but my character is swashbuckler, so no NPC is a better thief than me.

I always found Nalia and Imoen worked very well as a team. Nalia was more of a mage, Imoen more of a thief, but the pair of them had access to some deadly spells, with Imoen goosing out on Magic Missiles, Fireballs and all kinds of low-level stuff while Nalia backed her up with all kinds of powerful stuff. Imoen had her shortbow and shortsword, Nalia her staff and sling. They became a kind of dynamic duo...

I think I was averaging about lev 16 when I got her back, and decided to keep her. However, most of my party reached the xp cap well before the end of the game, but even right at the end she hadn't reached the maximum level she could have. She has some good skills, but not the best.

hey, I just got her back and she was level 13 mage, like Edwin, but she has way less squares and spells.

Edwin has extra spells due to his necklase and high INT
