in docks..i kill lich..turns into demi lich & smokes me..nothing seems to work..please help

Ok, this guy is not easy, and there are very few ways of killing him, the easiest I have found is, SPOILER

First kill his lich form, then, as he is transforming, cast mgic immunity, Abjuration (I think) on one of your characters who has a +4 or more weapon, then just lay into him with that character and he will eventually go down. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...es/biggrin.gif

Its also a good idea to cast protection from undead, that way he can´t see you.

after you have killed the first incarnation make sure everyone has a protection from undead scrool and casts it on themselveswhile hes changing then get chars to hit him etc, but give them potns of haste or somthing beacuse he regens about 3/hp per round.

cast protection from magic on my self..not 1 weapon anyone in my group has touches this guy..what am i doing wrong..he cant hit me either though

If I remember, you need a powerful weapon and a skilled user to take on Kangaxx... It's possible that Kangaxx is casting some kind of protection spell on himself if he's still a freshly animated Lich.

If you've managed to kill him once and his 'flying skull' form is giving you problems... are you well-armed enough, with a +4 weapon? Perhaps you could attack Kangaxx using spells from a distance - perhaps Magic Missiles - while engaging him from the front with your fighters.

I really wish I could remember how I beat Kangaxx. But, well, it was very late at night, I was on a strange cocktail of marmite sandwiches and sugary coffee... I still haven't recovered.

To counter the imprisonment spell the demi lich uses, Protection from Magic will not work, use Spell Immunity and pick the school Adjuation. You can also use Protection from Undead as mentioned above. If you have a berserker, enrage him/her since the berserker (when enraged) is immune to Kangaxx (the demi lich version) imprisonment attacks. To hurt the demi lich, you will need +4 or better weapons, e.g. Daystar, Crom Faeyr, Warblade, Holy Avenger, Wave ... etc. The spell Melf's Minute Meteors will also create stones that are treated as +5 weapons when your mage throw them.

Not quite correct, Accord. http://www.tgeweb.com/cgi-bin/ubb/no...miles/wink.gif Protection from Magic will make you immune to ANY form of magic, including imprisonment.

Jimmy, if he's still a lich he probably has Improved Mantle or something still in effect. Kill his lich form first, I'm assuming you managed to do that earlier.

When he turns into the demilich, you need AT LEAST +4 weapons to hit the guy. You can try:

1. Flametongue (+4 to hit)
2. Staff of Rynn +4 available from the Adventurers Mart but it's not cheap.

There are others, but you don't get them till Chapter 5 at least.

Or Melf's Magic Meteors as mentioned above.

Well Actually you want the one protected against imprisonment to be seen so kangaxx keeps on casting at him instead of the others
You can hack with everybody at him aslong as the protected one is the one who recieves the spells

You get flametongue after the trademeet druid quest, i think.

You might want to use daystar in stead of flame tongue, its a lot easier to obtain and has a nifty sunray attack (level 7 priest spell!!!)

What is the Daystar?
Does any spells work on Kangaxx? Or make them work.
Does Holy Word and priest spells work?

I am a Fighter/Mage/Thief
equipped with Flametongue, and Spell Immunity, can I slay Kangaxx?
Can the Slayer kill Kangaxx easily?
Can I lower his magic resistance? Is he protected by spell immunity or what?
The battle dialogue reads immune to spell not magical resistant.
I have finished he ae and Kangaxx is by far the hardest opponent!

I kiled him the dumbest way possible. I did nothing special. I had korgan with frostreaver go rage and killed him doing 2 dmg at a time. KIlled him easy.
