I have to choose between these two because I can't leave young BOO behind now can I? I like Keldorn's special abilities personally but I'm not sure. Which one's best and with what equip/configuration.

Ive never played Valygar, but Keldorn is VERY good. His dispell ability will save you lotsa times, and he can wield the Carsomyr, which is a big point in favour of him. He can wear all types of armor unlike Valygar (his own armor is very good).
On the other hand, Ive heard that Valygar is a beast if you equip him with the Celestial Fury and his own sword. I guess you should give him the shadow dragon armor and one pair of boots of speed (if ya arent using them, and i doubt it). So, if you are a paladin, take Valygar. If ya have proficiency with katanas, take Keldorn. Other wise, take Keldorn too i would say. ------------------ http://www.angelfire.com/anime2/memnoch/ertai.gif "Let my spells do the dirty work" Ertai, High Sorceror of the Holy Flame |
It depends on your team. If you have Viconia, take Valygar (cause Keldorn and Viconia ain't a good mix). Otherwise, take Keldorn for the Holy Avenger (give him the gauntlets of dexterity).

Yes. Valegar is good, but Keldorn is better - unless you plan to have evil team members as well!

I'd definently take Keldorn just because he can carry the most amazing sword ever, the holy avenger.

I'd say take Valygar. Not because he's better than Keldorn, but because he's
a Ranger too. Rangers Rock! ------------------ The last arrow of Legolas kindled in the air as it flew, and plunged burning into the heart of a great wolf-chieftain. All the others fled. -J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings |
Yes, Rangers do add something extra. There is something about being able to stealth most of my party before battle and moving into position...

If your PC uses the Celestial Fury (like me), take Keldorn (Holy Avenger); If your PC uses the Holy Avenger (i.e. a paladin), then pick Valygar. If you are in neither of the above two situation, pick Keldorn, he can tank better with better AC.

Keldron

Assuming you have neither another paladin or another ranger, I'd go for Keldorn. His Truesight/Dispel is so useful

may I be the first to point out that the game doesn't revolve around Celestial Fury and the Holy Avenger, personally I would pick Valygar as he can stealth, dual wield and use a bow. which is much more important that tanking to me. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif

I'll keep ol' Keldorn then I thought his abilities would make him better.
Don't you have to take armour off to stealth and doesn't this greatly affect fighting ability. I love Keldorn's crossbow of accuracy (I know there may be better X-bows out there). Why do you think bows are better than X-bows? ------------------ Neil |
