Me like made one round table for to share we wisdom or tips.

Opinions.

Good idea Aurum.

Always hit your enemies with range weapon before going melee.
Always go after enemies' spellcaster, your focus is spell disruption.
Run and hit (hit and run)tactic against tougher foes does work with range weapons.....along with boots of speed.
Chaotic command (spell) is one of your best friends, so is Crom Faeyr and Celestial Fury.
Eventhough you don't need to constantly memorize spells, you should rest as often as possible.

Long live H22A1!!!!!

Participate every move of your enemy, you shall live long
Know your opponent's strength and weakness, you shall live long
Strike with timing, not strike with force, you shall live long
Use quantiy, the possibilties render to controlable in a long run
Fast, accurate, intelligent, those are your best allies
DO NOT trust Minsc's berserking

Aurum 03-22-2001 01:21 AM

Yes, is good, we see what happen???
See'a.
Without oportunity of reaction, better form of aniquiled it.

Thanks lot!!!

You can trust your own berserker and Korgan's berserking though. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...les/tongue.gif
Don't be afraid to use your potions, never wait until the last moment.
Anticipate opponents, if a lich cast time stop (which it always does), walk away.
Running away is a mean to stay alive, also a tactic.
Never let yourself get overwelmed.

------------------
Long live H22A1!!!!!

250 03-22-2001 01:33 AM

remember:

alwasy pay back when someone give you
always give more than you take
always respect your opponents:
always recover their lost treasures
always show respect with manpower

Accord 03-22-2001 01:42 AM

Know your strength, use weapons that you are good at.
Magical arrows are good, don't worry about using too many of them.
There are many ways to fight (cheap or not), when you are standing and they are not, who's to say?
Take the loot.....
Take more loot.....
Don't under estimate chickens!!!! They can burn you.

------------------
Long live H22A1!!!!!

250 03-22-2001 01:46 AM

Chickens are usually squrril
yes, they can hurt you
and they can hurt you bad!!

now some serious suggestions:
try the spells you never used before, there are SURRISES
read the spell descriptions
read the manual

Accord 03-22-2001 01:50 AM

It is better for you to go 6-on-1 rather than 1-on-6, brunt force along with stupidity can get you through...along with reloads.
Always wear the best armor, for special encounters where resistance does matter, it helps to have a second armor in inventory just in case.
Don't be afraid to bash doors and chests.
Always wear a helm!!! Eventhough your hair might get messed up.

Don't be afraid to fight- you can take it. But also don't bite off more than you can handle.
Protect that wimpy little wizrad standing behind you- you might actually need him one day.
Don't always rely on missile weapons, against other archers just bash em up close.
Dragons aren't so scary.
Ring of regeneration will become your best friend, superglue it to your finger.

1) If the enemy is in range, so are you.
2) Incoming fire has the right of way.
3) Don't look conspicuous: it draws fire.
4) The easy way is always mined.
5) Try to look unimportant, they may be low on ammo.
6) Professionals are predictable, it's the amateurs that are dangerous.
7) The enemy invariably attacks on one of two occasions:
When you're ready for them.
When you're not ready for them.
8) Teamwork is essential; it gives the enemy someone else to shoot at.
9) If you can't remember, the claymore is pointed at you.
10) If your attack is going well, you have walked into an ambush.
11) Don't draw fire, it irritates the people around you.
12) The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming
friendly fire.
13) When the pin is pulled, Mr. Grenade is not our friend.
14) If it's stupid but works, it isn't stupid.
15) When in doubt empty the magazine.
16) Never share a fox hole with anyone braver than you.
17) Anything you do can get you shot. Including doing nothing.
18) Make it too tough for the enemy to get in and you can't get out.
19) Mines are equal opportunity weapons.
20) A Purple Heart just proves that were you smart enough to think of a plan,
stupid enough to try it, and lucky enough to survive.
21) Don't ever be the first, don't ever be the last and don't ever volunteer to
do anything.
22) The quartermaster has only two sizes: too large and too small.
23) Five second fuses only last three seconds.
24) Friendly Fire isn't
25) Your weapon was made by the lowest bidder.

26) You are not supermen.
(Freshly graduated recruits from Marine boot camp and all fighter pilots,
especially, take note.)
27) No plan survives the first contact intact.
28) If you are forward of your position, the artillery will fall short.
29) The enemy diversion you are ignoring is the main attack.
30) The important things are always simple.
31) The simple things are always hard.
32) If you are short of everything except enemy, you are in combat.
33) When you have secured an area, don't forget to tell the enemy.
34) No combat-ready unit has ever passed inspection.
35) Beer math is 2 beers times 37 men equals 49 cases.
36) Suppressive fire – won't.
37) Body-count math is 3 guerrillas plus 1 probable plus 2 pigs equals 37 enemy
killed in action.
38) Things that must be together to work usually can't be shipped together.
39) Radios will fail as soon as you need fire support desperately.
40) Tracers work BOTH ways.
41) If you take more than your fair share of objectives, you will have more
than your fair share to take.
42) When both sides are convinced they are about to lose, they're both right.
43) When in doubt, empty your magazine.

Don't rely on Buff spells. They always seem to fail when you need them the most.
Don't rely on super items. They always seem not to work when you need them most.
Don't rely on fire support. It's never on time, especially when you need it most.
and Don't rely on skill either..being cocksure will get you in trouble when the above fail.
Don't you just hate it when you spend several moments buffing your characters with every imaginable buff spell and the first thing your enemy casts is a dispel magic..
And when that party up ahead is just another quick kill, the first thing they cast is something you could have avoided with a few buff spells.

------------------
Why?

250 03-29-2001 10:27 AM

i always buff in the middle of combat

An army that plans for victory compared to an army that forsees defeat is like a ton compare to an ounce. (Sun-Tzu: The Art of War)

Aurum 04-05-2001 02:17 PM

Hey, isn't truth, my cavalier can defeat to almost anybody.

When The world of the deads comes,

Tancred 04-05-2001 02:29 PM

Scout. Always scout ahead. NEVER run in blindly. If you think you know what you're up against, you can prepare the weaponry you need to defeat it; clubs for Golems, specific protections vs. specific foes, or even running away lots. To quote, again, the Art of War:

'Know the other and know yourself,
One hundred challenges without danger.
Know not the other and yet know yourself,
One triumph for one defeat.
Know not the other and know not yourself,
Every challenge is certain peril."

Never fight where you're supposed to. Tactical fallbacks can allow you to choose where the fight takes place; Careful planning can allow you to lead your opponent into a trap - a narrow corridor, a trap set by a thief, a crossfire. Once you know where the enemy are, figure out where you want them to be. If the enemy have a strong defence, force them to abandon it by retreating, area of effect spells, etc. Again, by Sun Tzu:

"Those who occupy the place of conflict early
Can face their opponent in comfort.
Those who occupy the place of conflict late
Must hasten into combat troubled."

See? This is what comes of a classical education, folks.

Tancred

Now, is it the blue or the brown wire to Earth the plug? (BZZZZZZZZZZZZT!)

Lord Shield 04-05-2001 06:59 PM

And use LOTS AND LOTS of disabling area-effect MAGIC! BWA HA HA HA! Stinking Cloud and Web and Entangle followed by Cloudkill and Abanzzer's Giant Fart

One of the stories from '1001 Arabian Nights' is about a fart. I wish I could remember what it was...

Tancred

'And being so bloated with meat and wine, he did give out a loud and foul-smelling fart.'

When facing tough non-magic using foes, I like to choose my ground wisely and bottleneck their attack. With this tactic I can maximize the attacks of my fighters and minimize the number of attacks directed at me. Which seems so unfair (opponents attacking me that is) since my group is just a bunch of jolly adventurers just trying to get along. Well I guess there were a few incidents but how was I supposed to know that a blade placed between the 4th and 5th vertebrae of the Shadow Dragon would anger him???
