Can Cromwell create this flail if i only have two parts of it?

I could not get the third flail head (golem room) and now when i "own" the castle it is gone...

What will be the difference with only 2 flail heads?

Or is there a way to get the third head anyway?

all 3 parts are in Nalia's home. One in the golem's room, one by beating a human ennemi on the second floor I think he has it, and another one to the next room where you find the magic machine ( I dont remeber the name of it (sorry I'am french my vocabulary sucks)) that it is says by clicking on it you can make the flails by deposing the parts on the magic machine and it will add on the others by itself ( on the top north middle of the first floor map )

Thanks, i have not seen this machine.

Unfortunately the third flail head is gone from the golem room.

Can i find it some other place?

And can i use the machine without the third one?

Entreri 03-19-2001 03:40 AM

How come the part in the golem rooms is gone ? you sure drop it somewhere and yes, you can have only a flail with only 1 or 2 heads. just depose them on the magic whatever machine name it is. And you don't have to make it in 1 shot. find a part, place it there, you have a 1 head flail, find the second part, palce it there and it will add on by itslef on the flail. Same thing for the third head.

The part in the golem room disappears when you clear out the castle and gain control of it. The golems also disappear...

I searched all three of the statues and the treasures arenīt there anynmore.

BP, you could try to "cheat" the last part of the flail into your inventory using Shadowkeeper. It's not really cheating as you had a chance to get the part but you just lost it somehow. It would be a shame if you were to be punished for that by not getting the flail.
If you just cheat the last part you'll still have to forge the flail.
If you want some instructions on Shadowkeeper, just post here again.
Good luck!

The "mistake" i made was that i did not enter the golem room in time because i figured the treasures would still be there after i cleared out the castle.

dafan 03-19-2001 06:57 AM

as many others have done.. me including...b ut only the first time though http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

BP I think in that case it's not cheating...and even if it is, who cares??? Just put the missing part in your inventory using SK...need help with that?

Itīs a little strange that the treasures disappear. Is it a bug perhaps?

One other thing i found strange was that all the trap doors were gone after i cleared the castle. You had to find them again... Not a big deal but anyway.

BP 03-19-2001 07:12 AM

Is the flail worth the trouble of "cheating"?

Is it any good?

Melusine 03-19-2001 07:22 AM

The disappearance of the treasure's not a bug as far as I know.
Yes, the Flail is definitely worth the 'trouble' of cheating, esp. in a lower level party. Viconia is really good with it BTW. I used it for my cleric in the first game.

+3 flail
+1 fire dam.
+1 cold dam (of this one I'm not sure).
+1 acid dam.
And cast slow on target with each hit.
Not the best weapon of the game but a very good one.

BP 03-19-2001 07:27 AM

In that case, Melusine i would be really happy if you could assist me in "Aquiring" this item by using Shadowkeep...

Melusine 03-19-2001 07:44 AM

OK BP, here goes:

First, you download Shadowkeeper here.
Then, when you have installed it and opened the program, choose the Item browser (the button which says IB). Scroll through the items until you find the part of the flail you're missing. Now, you can do two things:
1. Open your save game in SK and go to the inventory of your main character. Find a free slot, and click where it says: Assign item to ... (don't know if I'm getting all the phrases exactly right...). You'll get a list of all the items. Pick the flail part and assign it to your character. Save under a different name (i.e. Save Game edited 0001 for instance) and close the SK screen. Now, when you open BG and load your game, the part will be in your inventory.
2. In the Item Browser, check the code that is behind the flail part (for example, the code for an Identify scroll is SCRL75). Write the code down, close Shadowkeeper and load your game. Now press Ctrl + Spacebar. You'll be able to enter cheat codes in the little bar that has popped up. Type this:
CLUAConsole:CreateItem("XXXXXX") and instead of the Xes fillin the item code for the flail head. Press enter and it will be in your inventory. You can use this for all the items in the game (although I'm wouldn't want to encourage you...http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...s/biglaugh.gif ). Simply look up the code in Shadowkeeper and insert it for the XXXXXX. Don't forget to put the quotation marks around it. If you want multiple copies of an item, type CLUAConsole:CreateItem("XXXXXX", a) and replace 'a' with the number required.
Hope this helps!

Bruce The Aussie 03-19-2001 08:07 AM

just quickly you can actually pick up the flail head in the goloms room without being attacked just don't pick up the other items in there.

Melusine 03-19-2001 08:13 AM

Bruce, sorry mate but the problem BP is experiencing is this:
After you get the keep for a stronghold, the treasure will disappear! So there is no more treasure in the Golem Room

When i replay the game i will make sure that i take the flail part FIRST http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

BP 03-19-2001 08:19 AM

BTW, What advantages will i get by having the keep as my stronghold?

Does it really affect the game or is it just a cool thing.

Sorry for the stupid question but i am a newbie...

Bruce The Aussie 03-19-2001 08:20 AM

i know melusine but i'm telling everyone just so they know for when/if they replay

Melusine 03-19-2001 08:22 AM

Bruce: OK, sorry! BTW how are you? how's your M.E.?
BP: yes, the stronghold will earn you quite some money and experience points, as well as some nice quests...have fun!
