Yes indeed...

Charean 03-18-2001 09:22 AM

Ya know, WaterGate has a special meaning for those of us in Washington DC... but then, most of you probably don't know about Nixon... that's okay, I don't mind being old...

But seriously, a nice letter to BioWare asking for Water Elementals... wow. Think about that... you should have at least seen them with the shark-dudes.

Maybe they just didn't have time...

the Water Gate? I am pretty sure my caracter Nix Sun, saw one near here or did he shread that dammed map and documents again.

as stated Maybe Tob will have them or they just din't have time or space to implement water elemental and din't bother to change the items description. As for giant there tonnes of them in IWD I assume they could haved used them but Giants (and other large creatures) tend to be a ressource drain. In IWD during the fight with the fire giants I had a few lags.

Fljotsdale 03-18-2001 09:30 AM

But there WERE 4 elemental portals!! I counted! And it took me ages to find the Fire one! If the 4th one wasn't water what WAS it? http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...s/confused.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...miles/rand.gif http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...s/Eyecrazy.gif

hope this works

Strahd Von Zarovich 03-18-2001 09:40 AM

I took this image from bgdungeon and if you look at the number 4 that where the description says:

4. There are 3 elemental portals all marked with 4's. Once you return Vithal's book he will ask you for help doing his rituals. Just follow him to each portal and protect him from the Greater Elemental that will appear to guard the portal. Don't let him get killed. After killing a guard Vithal will jump into the portal for a few seconds and then return. Once you have done all three he will give you a reward of a Rod of Absorption, tell him you deserve more and he will then give you 2 spell scrolls. From there you can either kill him sense he doesn't matter now or return to the Svirfneblin village. If you plan to kill him be ready for a very tough fight.

Bristowe 03-18-2001 09:41 AM

Mhmm, maybe the fourth gate you saw was on another part of the underdark? like the Kuo Toa map or something... I don't know...
But just imagine what a water elemental would look like? Imagine all the little fish swimming 'round inside it! hahahahahaaah. cool... http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Hm. Well. It looks like I am wrong. (I HATE being wrong!) http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...les/mad111.gif
But even so, I do not believe the evidence! NO! NEVER. I CANNOT BE WRONG!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa!http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...s/Eyecrazy.gif

If ya wanna look at water elementals, get IWD. However, the elementals in IWD are very different to the BG2 ones.

Good point about giants... In IWD there are some too.

There is one giant in the game, the Ettin you have to fight in the Sahuagin city. Also, the Hammer +4 vs giantkin also works vs golems, and we all have seen quite enough of those big fat clumsy brainless..... OK sorry! Yes the scimitar vs bards really had me clueless for a while but I figured it out. They've put it in the game for the sole reason of killing Haer'Delis http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...es/biggrin.gif
