i am now in chp4 but i still can't seem to be able to make out wat do i have to do for this Xzar guy who ask me to find out wat happen to Montaron. i can't even get into the harper stronghold, how in the world am i going to complete the quest....though i have the urge to kill this Xzar being so evil.someone pls help me ..thx

You need to speak to the bloke in front of the Harper building and try to get him to let you in. You also need to have Jaheira in your group.

I did this quest but Xzar dies. He gets killed by a Harper. Am I doing it wrong ?

There is actually a way of finding montarons body instead of the bird to save Xzar but i haven't figed it out yet.

I think there's no way to let Xzar live. After this Harper woman kills Xzar you can go into the Harper building and find Montaron's body in a chest. You get 20000 EPs and that's it...

Yup, there is no way to avoid the death of the Necromancer if you want to complete this quest.

I'm curious about this quest because as part of the Jaheira romance you have to kill all the people in the harper building. If you go upstairs then you will find Monty's body stuffed in a chest. Does this mean you can give this body to Xzar if his quest is still active? Has anyone tried this?

No you cannot, Monty's body will only spawn in the game when Xzar is dead, it's purpose is just to tie up the loose ends of "where the h*ll did Monty go?!?!?!".

I've done the quest in which Xzar dies. But I never bothered to go back into the harpers HQ to find Montaron body and went on to other quest.
I now know that you can his body. But I cant seem to get back into the harper HQ any more. The door seems to be locked. I've got the harper ammulet.

Any ideas??
I hate to misses the 20000EP in finding montaron body
