Since I'm supposed to be testing and am running out of things to talk to myself about http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...i/rolleyes.gif I thought I would post some tips on the UBB forums for those who aren't used to them. I'm also testing if this list below works:

<UL TYPE=SQUARE><LI>They have flood control activated meaning that you can't rapid post and overwhelm the server. This I think was the cause of our last two crashes.<LI>The syntax to call up images is slightly different. It uses UBB code instead of Ultraboard code. Click on the "UBB Code is ON" to the left of the message box when you create a new post or reply to a post.<LI>Like the old board you can call animated gifs into your sig. But it may be a good idea to crop/resize any large ones, just so that they don't take forever to load.<LI>You can jump between forums using the selection box on the bottom right hand side of the screen.<LI>The search function works like a dream.<LI>The front page is a lot longer so a lot more posts can be displayed.[/list]

You have to use Html commands wiyh <> and </> use the font, and size="7" for example, color="red" and so on. Try to test around a little and edit your own post or a reply.

Gray mage, I answered you on another post. You need to use HTML. Go to www.angelfire.com and find a link on basic HTML, it will give you the syntax.

You need to use HTML to do colors eg

< font color="red">
without the space between the < and f for this
<font color="red">

But you can't use in your sig, only in the main message.

Wait, i did it just then.
The only way you can do it is to have the < font color="red"> command at the end of the message and not put a < /font> to close it off, it will make your sig change color as well. Annoying to have to do it though.

It's useful when the thread is really long and you want to respond to a specific person or comment, look at the top right hand corner of their post. It's next to the edit/delete option. Look for it in the top right hand corner of the box containing this message.
