I'm trying to work out why images that are hosted by Geocities don't seem to be working -= here or on other boards. I went to BGDungeon and TeamBG and still nada. Can someone help me out by telling me if they see the following images below:

Image A.

Image B.

As well as the gif in my signature?

I thought you mightn't be able to see A or B but I thought maybe you'd see the sig. Wolfie, could you go to this link, then reopen this post and see if you can see my sig after doing that.

This Geocities stuffup is getting to be a joke. Wolfie there should be a walking genie gif in that link i put down. I originally couldn't see my sig, then i physically went to the URL where i had the image stored, opened in, then all of a sudden i could see my sig. I'm betting that if i go to the URL for image A, you guys will be able to see. I'm just doing it now.

Okay, just opened the stupid thing. Can anyone see Image A now? If my theory is right you should be able to see A but not B.

Correct, or is my hypothesis flawed yet again?

When you asked that question, I think it was, it's almost 8:45 AM here now.
I still don't see A or B, but I do see the genie. When I tried to load the
pics manually, it is coming up with a 404 error. File not found.

Hmmmmm. And you guys still don't see the pic I put up for Ladyzekke yet either
in Wolfgir's thread for his webpage? Man, Geocities sucks. LOL. I like the
page builder they have though. Man, was that easy.

Memny: See your sig fine, but neither A nor B is there- just the placeholders with the little red x's. Has geocities got anything to say about this?

Gray Mage, did you have your sig files on another site? They were visible earlier to day. Geocities is really messed up, I guess. I am glad I don't use the old account I opened there anymore.

OK everyone who I'm hosting at Geocities. I've created an Angelfire account and pissed Geocities off since they no longer allow images to be stored there for use elsewhere. I know that I'm hosting Mel and BK - I can't remember if I'm hosting Ertai? As soon as I finish moving all my stuff to angelfire I'll post the links here!

Nice new gif memnoch. Where did you find it? The only downside to angelfire is it appears to give you less space than geocities. geo gives you 500meg right? angelfire gives you 50meg

I can't actually remember the site, I did a search on fantasy gifs some time back but i got hooked on the genie from BG2. I had to crop and resize this one as it was a bit big (about 15% bigger than it is now).

Tobbin, with GIF Construction set, how do you make the background of the GIF transparent? I want to get rid of the black background which looks cheezy.

I don't know what was wrong with the modify option.
S'weird, it used to just change to what you type in,
but now when I click it, it will put in the 1st
message, no matter what. I think it has to do with
my computer though and maybe how I have cookies set

There's not really much that you can do except to make a new homepage with
one that seems to be working. Angelfire seems pretty stable right now.
You could try using that. If not, I think Memnoch is asking Ziroc about
putting the GIF files in the image section on the board. If they do that,
everything will work for the best. Cross your fingers, non?
