Stealth Bomber 02-19-2001 05:44 PM

In Sundays paper, the News of the World, Dannii Minogue claims that Jacque paid more attention to playing D&D online than he did to her, so she dumped him! Now I am a fanatic too but DANNI MINOGUE! He must be gay! lol. Joking aside, if you are one of the members of this board, you can come to us for support. I can recommend a lovely lady with a similar passion for the game, who is currently single and lonely because the Black Knight is away battling evil all the time. Now you will have to join a queue, headed by Armisael, so you might be intrested in a fellow french speaker, Moiraine, who was lamenting about her lack of suitors. As if Yorick wasn't enough!

Anyhow, feel free to open up to us as many are skilled in mending broken hearts.

PS Please reply with your suggestions on who might be Jacques Villeneuve

Drau 02-19-2001 06:56 PM

I heard Jacques and Daaaaaaaaaaaaanii had broken up, but that's the reason?! Wow... All I heard was faint rumours that Jacques may enjoy a lifestyle such as Eddie Irvine. This isn't exactly F1 territory 'round here... Were Jacques Villeneuve not Canadian, he would be as well-known in this part of the country as Michael Schumacher or Mika Häkkinen...

Lord of Alcohol 02-19-2001 07:22 PM

Who is Jacque Villeneuve?

Cloudbringer 02-19-2001 07:27 PM

Another Yank, asking same thing!

Stealth! BAAAAAAD BAAAAAD bomber! sheesh! LOL!

Sylent 02-19-2001 07:51 PM

Jacque Villeneuve is a Formula 1 Grand Prix motorcar racer...
He drives really fast cars, and broke up with Danni (Kylie's sis)
DnD online... Formula 1 driver... Danni... Man he had the life

Lord of Alcohol 02-19-2001 08:08 PM

Sounds like some sort of WWF thing

Ladyzekke 02-19-2001 08:26 PM

HAHA! LofA! Yes, but who got the pin?!!

Drau 02-20-2001 12:45 AM

*Gasp* I'm insulted! Jacques Villeneuve is neither an American nor a wrestler of any sort. He's the 1997 Formula One World Champion (yeah, he drives really fast cars). Like myself, he's Canadian! Unlike myself, he's French. I'm from the west.

Charlie 02-20-2001 02:55 AM

Danni Minogue is a bloody dragon anyway. Multi talentless but loves digging for gold and fame. She's got a face like a blind cobblers thumb too........good move Jacques.

Moiraine 02-20-2001 04:41 AM

Suul Bomber, Yorick is currently a VERY ABSENT man (no post, no mail) ... maybe he has forgotten anything and drowned himself into the beautiful dark eyes of a gorgeous Italian girl ... who knows ...

Stealth Bomber 02-20-2001 07:52 AM

Moiraine, don't worry. I am sure he will reform once he has seen your beautiful 'black eyes' you said you had. Frenh women are the classiest anyway of all Europeans, although I think Italians are very sexy too
Charlie, harsh words! Yes Dannii is a gold-digger, but she is quite cute. What he should have done is got her involved, rather than leaving her alone night after night.

PS Melusine, don't worry I still fancy you rotten too and as for all the American ladies, all I can say I'm trying to push towards the front of the cue. lol

Charlie 02-20-2001 09:40 AM

You're right Suul, probably was a little harsh. Maybe the remnants of this flu are keeping me a little more grouchy than would usually be the case. Apologies to any Dragons.

Incidentally where do people play D&D online?

Donut (Son of Donut) 02-20-2001 10:04 AM

Thank you Charlie - I was counting to 100 before commenting on your comment (I'm a very slow counter). You shouldn't be dissing the delightful Danni.

WOLFGIR 02-20-2001 10:10 AM

Habahabahaba!!! YYYYYYYYLLLLLLL!!!
Now thats a face to give up DoD for.........awhile...
Hehehe..
So well Charlie, not to mae you go cursing again.. i like beatiful women, but I lkie thoose who are true, charismatic, mischievous(ogod, thats a tough word..) have a face that you like to wake up besides, (still attached to the rest of her mind you) and scratches me behind the ears and tells me she likes me in some peculiar way.. ok, not Danni then..

Cloudbringer 02-20-2001 10:19 AM

Charlie: True to form- I'm ROTFL...apologies to Dragons....hahahaha!

Wolfgir: Come here , wolfie, lots of scritches for you...My friend Moiraine says you like them! Did I see you post that you're in Sweden (or am I mis-remembering?).

Moiraine: I imagine Yorick is having a good time and can't find a computer! He won't forget his sweet French ladyfriend, I'm sure!

Stealth: You seem to be at the front of a lot of lines! Uh, take a stiff drink before reading Kylle's where are we all? thread...Evil Armie was out to play and Cloud couldn't help herself...sigh

Lord of Alcohol 02-20-2001 10:25 AM

Wow! That girl can take all the gold she can get from me! Wont take her long either!

WOLFGIR 02-20-2001 10:30 AM

Cloudbringer!

I LOVE ÉM!! Scritch scratch! hehehe

Thats correct, sitting here at an office in Gothenburg trying to make people happy with there webpages.. I´m no coder though, more like a designer/troubleshooter for well get things to work.. Hehe, sometimes..

I can also tell you´re not around cause we got beatiful weather here, sun is shining and it feels like spring outside!
Not that I don´t like rain, espacially from your little cloudy!

Yorick 02-20-2001 10:30 AM

Donut you are a classic.
Cloudy, Stealth...... (sighs)(rolls eyes)
I wonder what Luc Moirainehusband thinks about those jests? Hmmm?

Funny that Danni is almost attempting a putdown with her remarks, yet it seems to me she puts herself down with such shallowness.

Alas poor Jaques I hope he seeks us out when the problems of Amn drive him to desperation instead of getting in his car.....

BLACK KNIGHT 02-20-2001 10:43 AM

For the record, I would like to say that I have a theory on women. No matter how beautiful/sexy what have you, someone somewhere is tired of her $hit.

BK

Yorick 02-20-2001 10:47 AM

Black Knight I'll pay that one. (LOL)

Tobbin_OHF 02-20-2001 10:48 AM

***** WHISPERS TO BLACK KNIGHT *******
Hey bud, you realize that you just said that out loud amidst a room with women in it, right?
**************************************

WOLFGIR 02-20-2001 10:52 AM

hehehe, thats a good one.. oups..

Cloudbringer 02-20-2001 01:05 PM

Yorick, Straight up, that wasn't a jest- it was meant (ok, hard to tell with me and this medium!) totally innocently. Moiraine IS a very sweet lady and as far as I can tell, a friend of yours or you wouldn't go out of your way to visit. Okay? (don't know how to do a little 'oops, I'm worried you misunderstood me' smiley!)

Wolfgir: Awww, I can be sunny too! Sunshowers for all of you! Whereabouts is Gothenburg in the country? I'm not too good at European geography, I readily admit!

Web design? Nifty! I'm tinkering with it at work, just basic (very basic!) html stuff using a text-editor (html-kit) for now. Got to do a page for our little Italian program.
You do lots of complicated stuff? Java, perl etc? Way beyond me, but I do admire anyone who can do it! HTML is another language all by itself, for me.

Cloudy

Cloudbringer 02-20-2001 01:10 PM

And BK, Yorick: Hmmm, I think I shall just say, well that little addage works for the opposite gender too.

Cloudy

Ladyzekke 02-20-2001 01:47 PM

Men can never really be satisfied.

BLACK KNIGHT 02-20-2001 03:16 PM

LadyWendy and Cloudbringer: I do agree that my little adage works both ways. I think that the tragedy in life comes when the object of your desire is also the object of most of your frustrations. But I disagree that men cannot be satisfied. I am. Maybe she isn't. Don't know, but anyways, why is it that some (not all but some) women find a guy they like, then try to change said guy into something they want. If he isn't what you want, keep looking. But I digress.

BK

Cloudbringer 02-20-2001 06:48 PM

BK:
You are right, trying to change someone doesn't really work , so why do it? Just creates lots of frustration and misery on both sides.

Hehehe Uh, that would explain my current state of singleness.... I'm too picky and of course now I'm too busy vanquishing trolls and umber hulks.

Cloudbringer

Tobbin_OHF 02-20-2001 07:10 PM

Hmmm. This whole issue of change has me rather confused. Granted that you shouldn't become something that you are not, but I think that most people will change some when they are with someone. That's what compromise is all about. Give and take and take and give. As long as it's all even anyways.

CB, about html and stuff. I found that the easiest way to work with it was to use beginner packages and create pages with whatever tools that they had. Once the page is created, you can use the view option and view code. This is the best way to learn if you don't have anyone that can help you. As for advanced html, well, you can use the same theory on existing webpages too. You just go to the View menu on your browser and select source. This will tell you most of the code that you need to know. I say most because if there is Java on the page GOD I LOVE JAVA then you will have to remember that the program is really separate from the HTML. It uses it as an interface. I'm not sure about Javascript though as I really haven't used that.

WOLFGIR 02-21-2001 07:10 AM

Hi Cloudy! Thanks for the sunbeams could really use a few of thoose *imagine big bad wolf lying in the sun basking*
No I don´t do any pearl or Java unless its in Dreamweaver 4. I´m more into design and troubleshooting the "what you see" perfecting images, making the layout work in as many environments as possible. I also do some of the main art work to but not at work though.. just on the side..
I also do some Flash and Shockwave stuff as well as original paperdesigns.

So you´re picky too? THoose sunbeams fell a little brighter hehehe

LadyZ, we can´t be satisfied?? Hmm, doesn´t seem so in my world..I know what I would be satisfied with

javascripts are inside the html, very good for small behaviours like open in new window, and well work alittle like DHTML.
