el_kalkylus>> Maybe you killed captain Dennis too?
Yorick>> I know, but this is the only quest that I have absolutely no idea what its about and yeah I know it killed the cat but I guess I'm just a very curious girl |
wrong things u made ...and mistakes that makes u play again for example: 1-ý gave ale to the childs in umar hills(idle hands in imnesvale quest)after that ý finished a lot of quests but ý cant find boys.if something happens them ý cant live ý am soo sad ý will load and continue without giving ale if something happens bad.(where r they??) 2-ý put the human skin armor somewhere or sold ý dont remember(ý cant find) but now ý think ý wont be able to catch Rejiek hidesman without it.(can ý catch rejiek witout that evil armor?)and also a I loose chance to get a good armor for korgan perhaps(if u get that armor with silver dragon blood is it really good ?? or no need to worry?? where can ý find a silver dragon??)
3-wyvern head and shadow dragon wardstone what r they use for?? any other important warnings??????(about items ,quests, npc's!!! thanx for the answers BOO says:warn everybody while u can |
1. Ale - There's a cave past where the ogre mage Madulf is, I suggest you check it out.
2. Human skin - try Trademeet, if you want to find Rejiek again. That armor sucks BTW. 3. You'll find a silver dragon in Chapter 5. |
I killed Nalia's betrothed before talking to him. Not 2 minutes after leaving the funeral Nalia says, "I really think we ought to get going to my Father's funeral -- or I'll have to leave."

Biggest mistake I made the first time through was to kill Edwin as soon as Minsc did his little speech totally stuffed up that quest.
Another one was being unable to find Baron Ployer and having Jaheira die, then I removed her from the party. About that Armor its not to bad at all for a thief Stiop reading if you dont want the stats Human Skin AC 3 +4 to save vs spell 10% magic resist Only usable by evil chars and not usable by the usual chars for leather |

Stupidest thing I did was killing Captain Dennis, now I can't get the Limited Wish quest...WAAAAAAAHHHH
Especially because in my current game I'm trying to do every quest I missed when I first played through |
Dirt, I don't know about the stupidest mistake in the game, but the funniest mistake should be your two posts - the first without the spaces down, and the second with. The first kind of made the second obsolete (LOL).
The biggest mistake for me would have to be taking Jan as a sixth character into the Asylum and of course having to drop him and never see him again. But how could I have known? Mel, don't sweat it too much. Each character stronghold has it's own quests anyway so if you want to experience it all you'll need to play again anyway. Besides, it's not a quest worth stressing over that much. |
happy I improved your day

My biggest mistake was when I played a halfling assassin to chapter 4, not realizing I was level drained. I wondered why I could never pass level 4. I had been level drained since the beginning (Korgans quest). When I finally found out I could restore me and all the npc's with scrolls and temples. Later I found out that my stats was very bad. 13 in average is not really good to have, and 15 in dexterity. I didn't know you could change the stats, I thought it would be the same every time you rolled. This was my first game which I replayed immediately.
Melusine, Limited wish quest??? I have used every one time wish there is (wis 1 |
El, that's hilarious. I HATE LEVEL DRAIN at the best of times but that must have totally infuriated you.
Melusine, not much to say to that. Fair enough. No worries Dirt. |
Doing Keldorns non quest. He's a celibate wanker that can't keep it up and his missus has had more pricks than a pin cushion...who can blame her after marrying that tosser. Total waste of time.
|
For me, working through Bohdi's lair for Linvail, using a few restoration spells and a bunch of reloads, to finish and realise that I had completely forgotten about Daystar in my quickslot (whacking them instead with some mace) and the two neg. plane protections Jaheira had learned exactly for this occasion. Or whacking Golems while the Rod of Smiting lies unused. Or having to reload and go through the whole Illitherid gladiator pit again because I let my collared door-opening Mind Flayer wander into battle (Ulitherids don't open doors - remember this...)
|
Worst mistake I ever made was I played a fighter!
|
Love it, my miskates,
1) using my Fairy Dragon to attack. 2) casting two gate spells in the the final fight and not casting protect from evil, and then casting area spells at them. 4) not realising that i did it, and think the bad ones, which look the same were mine. |
5) a dobble posting, sorry.

my first time through bg2, i was a mage. i was doing the quest for jahera, where you have to get that slave trader guy who cast a curse on her. my party was around lev 9-11, so we were getting creamed by the 3 wizards the slave guy had with him. i didnt want to die, so i retreated out the door hoping to flee and regroup. the 3 attacking wizards followed me out the door into the outside. i cant remember who triggered the cowled wizards, but they showed up almost immediately. on one side i'm getting blasted by the slaver's three wizards, and on the other side there are the 3 powerful cowled wizards, and they both start fighting each other. i got mazed by the cowled wizards, and the two groups of spell casters started flinging spells at each other, i never saw so many sells shot at once. there were creatures being summoned in masses, the town guards near by started attacking the wizards, and innocent pedestrians standing were killed in the cross fire. when i finally got back from the maze, all my party members were dead and the spell casting fight was no slowing down. i was killed almost instantly. but all this is not the worste mistake i made. the worste mistake is that i didnt save since i got out of the first dongeon, and all i had was the auto save from trying to run from the wizards. you should try what i did if you want to see those fireworks

ARRGGH! Turbovee - you just get your fighter over here and I'll show him what it means to be one!!
The worst mistake that I ever made was to take anomen with me - no more. The guy is a brat who nicked most of my experience that could've been spent on others in the game!! |
Hell Lich, Gladly because I need more monster fodder to take the damage while I sit back and cast "summon coffee and doughnuts".
|
My biggest mistake is to kill the leader of the shadow thief after the underdark. Arkanis Gath killed all my party in 3 sec! So I though of a plan and I summoned 2 pit fiend, all my party near the exit hasted, and my fighter-mage (pro vs mag weapon, impr-haste) killing the leader while Arkanis killing the demons (giving me the time to kill the leader, steal his stuff and close the room door and running away from the docks) But after that, I realised that I can't go back in the docks 'cause That stupid Arkanis was outside waiting for me. But, I did continue after that not knowing that I cannot finish the Demi lich quest and cannot go to that dwarf that make weapons with parts we find in the game. That's sucks, that guy is immortal and doing 1000dmg with 100% pro vs all (He kill through stone skin). No saved-games before this mistake so I did a new game. ( I was in chapter 7 !!)
|
The biggest mistake I ever made was the first time I ever played, and I walked around and stole from peoples houses and unlocked chests. Then they all yell "thief" and turn hostile, and some idiot from your party attacks them and you stuff up your reputation. It also stuffs up some quests for you.

The biggest mistake I have made (so far), is:
In cahpter 5 (Underdark), when Adalon the Silver Dragon asks you to retrieve her eggs for her. Well, what happened was, when Phaere asked me to kill Solauefein I accepted (meaning I would only have one set of fake eggs to replace the real ones with). So, when I swapped the eggs the Matron Mother was killed by the demon she had summoned, but this meant that Phaere would give away the eggs. I didnt let her do this, which resulted in my death thanks to the combined efforts of Phaere and the Demon. So, I reloaded and decided to attack the Matron Mother; She dispelled my disguise but after some struggling I killed her and Phaere. The health of my party wasnt too great, and to make matters worse I couldnt rest. I flung open the doors and bolted past the 7 awaiting Drow, then when outside, not only had I been followed but the citizens turned on me too. I created waypoints all over the city and finally one of my characters reached the exit...alone, thanks to his boots of speed. So, while Jaheira, Anomen, Minsc, Aerie and Imoen struggled to get through the hordes, Vathek (my main character), had to slaughter at least 10 warriors; a mixture of Drow, Duergar and Giant Spiders. We finally escaped only to be confronted by more outside the gates, I reached Adalon after another battle and assumed I would be teleported somewhere like Waukeens Promenade...hmm, not quite. I had to kill 3 Drow and 2 skeletons to reach AN exit, then through the exit were about 7 Drow and 2 spiders, after this battle I met some elves. Due to what they said I again assumed I was clear of danger...another two rooms with 5 drow remained. I finally reached the outside, victorious? I had left Soul Reaver, some nifty armour and the girdle of frost giant strength behind, in the unexplored Kuo-Tan dungeon...DOH! I obtained soul reaver and rested to get my identify spells back, and what did I discover...ONLY USABLE BY NON-GOOD ALIGNMENT...Yoshimo sprung to mind, I had dual-classed him to a fighter. Off I went, killed the Githyanki in the Slums and as I walked through the doors of the Copper Coronet he simply keeled over, DEAD. Well, following this I killed Bodhi with the assistance of Drizzt, then I decided to go to the Hall of the Radiant Heart with Anomen...he was rejected for killing Saerk Fahrrand? and when I said he deserved it the arrogant bastard attacked me, I wiped the floor with his sorry ass (chopping him into tiny pieces with the Vorpal Blade) and went to recruit Valygar, who is a better fighter anyway.... Question: Should Valygar wear his own armour (AC2)+25% resistance to fire and acid etc or some of my spare armour (AC-1)+15% resistance? |
