I would have to say Yoshimo's speech in chapter 4 deserves the Oscar for best acting. It's great from a roleplaying perspective. He's worth taking along if you plan to replace him/Jan with Imoen.

I also like Korgan's psycopathic rantings. Favorite line: "Me axe be bloody already!"
Runner up: Yoshimo's line "We must be doubly careful here. I'm sure all manner of stupid mousetraps await our toes in the dark."

Worst lines:
Jaheria: "Nature could find a home here if it was properly cleansed and balanced." This sounds a little like the logic of ethnic cleansing, doesn't it? Or destroying the environment and saying, "These woods would be a great place to live if we tore down all the trees and killed all the wildlife in the area." Definitely out of character for a druid or true neutral.

Nalia: "What are we doing trudging around here? Shouldn't we be out helping the less fortunate?" said during attempts to rescue her father at the D'Arness keep. Bad acting.
(However she redeems herself a lot with her statement immediately after the trolls are defeated. A very human response and I was hoping the PC was holding her close, trying to comfort her.)

the best speech is made by the charater when being questioned by the Harpers.

hmmm.... the best for me (as always) is the one of MINSC in the final battle... as the music goes to its climax, you nerves are like steel for the final confrontation with Irenicous and this is the final battle ... if Minsc is with you... he will say "EVIL MEET SWORD, SWORD MEET EEEEVVVIIILLLL!!!" man what a combo with the music... its the best line i heard him say ....

The Jaheria romance music is the worst. Very melodramatic. You'd expect that childish sounding music to be more appropriate with the Aerie romance.

Absolute worst: Pick PC sound script #2, the line "Scream, scream for mercy" and hear with what passionate tones your character proclaims this line. Not.
Sounds like he just woke up from a long nap.

I think this is deliberate, he's meant to be Ironic perhaps?. I thought this was cool.

The BEST AND FUNNIEST SPEECH I HAVE EVER HEARD IN THE GAME, was in the Umar Hills when the Innkeeper Vincenzo had a little go at his adopted stableboy.

That had me giggling for hours afterwards.

At the end some of the females sounded pretty pathetic with the little speeches just before attacking Irenicus. Especially Nalia.. and Aerie. Jaheria seems to loose her words in her accent.

Minsc however sounds COOL.

a good one is when lilarcor says "i may be an intelligent sword but ive had no former edumication"

Does anyone remember the guy that says "don't klick on me i'm superimportant" - that's the best line ever.

Chikkata Fastpaws is a racoon that accompanied the gnome god Beldor (I believe that is his name) that Aerie worships, after her conversion by Uncle Quayle. Basically a Boo-like mascot.
I thought that was one of her better lines (though the "Oh my" for critical hits is pretty funny).

My favourite is from Jan. Many of his common lines start with "this reminds me of the turnip cellars" or "this reminds me of the time when" and things like that.

Upon arriving in Hell he says "this reminds me of... umm maybe it reminds me of... actually I don't think I've been anywhere like this place".

I like the number 2 female voice! Its seducing and cool... the other one... I think its 3 or 4, has this childish accent. "Yer not so tough!" hehe cute! And some women when they die, it sounds like they had an orgasm or something... : )

Minsc, by far, as some of the best lines. When my rep first got real high, his line about "...Hamsters and rangers everywhere, rejoice!" had me cackling for hours. However, Korgan has some really good ones as well...like when you save the Lady in Nalia's keep quest or when you talk to one of the harlot's in the bridge district--if you don't know what I'm talking about, find out yourself, it is hilarious.

IMHO, I think Jaheira has some of the cheesier lines (though I like some of her romance ones, but that's a different story). Does anybody remember some of hers from BG1? My favorite one that I wish they would have put in BG2 was one of her selection sounds..."Yes, O omnipresent authority figure?" With her bizare accent, priceless.

Minsc has another good line if you drop your reputation to where he is unhappy:
"This behavior must not continue. Feel the burning gaze of my HAMSTER and change your ways!"

And I like Lilarcor's lines. Most of them are downright hilarious.

It would be nice to have a few different possibilities of conversation when you talk amongst your own chrs.....i think there aren't many choices when it comes to stuff irrelevant to the game(this is what makes the conversation fun,when you know you won't pay necessarily for what you say....except for alignment change or loss of class.Could you imagine your goodwilled paladin tell some kid"Why don't you just go play with some hungry dragons or something!".This ould make his price for reputation a little higher at the altar.)

I like it when Jan Jansen is about dead "I don't mean to alarm anyone but this blood spurtting all over the flood is mine" and when he does die "don't forget to raise me" It makes me role all over the place.
So maybe it is good to kill him once in a while

Drizzt DoÙrdens voice is ofcourse the best one.

When you hear him say "strike together friends" or "Your lives a waste"
and then beat the shit out of him with your level 16 kensai alone. It`s some of the best parts of the game I think. It`s too bad Drizzt`s not like he really should be (too good to be a lvl 16 ranger) But his voice is kind of cool

BEST - Any of Minsc's ("Go for the eyes!")


WORST - In one breath "How are we helping the unfortunate, blah blah blah" and in the next breath "I'm so happy you brought me, blah blah, blah"

Darn right: Another thing is that Lady Delcia Daan or whatever her name is = Boy if Nalia wasn't there I'd chop her head off just like that!!

Best acting- Irenicus, Jahiera when you find khalid. I nearly cried. Most of Jahieras' romance speeches are pretty good. Minsc of course.
Best lines- Minsc when you leave him standing around "Boo needs his exercise lest he bite us all in hard to reach places." Also Edwins conversation with Silvanis in the Copper Coronet after Edwin has read the Nether scroll. Considering Edwins' personality I could imagine all the other characters laughing at him, I sure was. It wasn't so funny when he went postal though.

To get the best speeches you have to play evil. Edwin is fast becoming my favourite speaker. But for example when the boss elf (Eldhan?) makes Viconia swear fealty to the party Korgan chips in with "And if you'll believe that you'll believe anything!" I'm also fond of quoting Edwin's openning speech to the party. "I am Edwin Odeseron, you simians who would prefer a less sylable intensive workout may refer to me as Sir!".

Nothing tops the spectator beholder from the Sahauguin City. I was laughing my head off.

I really liked a little exchange between Edwin and Viconia in the Asylum. I had just talked to the girl who saw through the planes and Edwin had a comment to make -

Edwin: A weakness on her part. A superior mind could handle such a gift.
Viconia: Ha! It is a shame we do not have one here.
Edwin: (sigh, it is aggravation like this that will cause me to fireball the entire party in their sleep. Yes, everyone nice and peaceful, then FOOM!!)

Edwin is just hilarious.

Spectator beholder in Sahuagin City!!! I actually stopped playing, stood up and sit somewhere more comfy than my chair till my laughing came to an end only to start laughing like a madmen at his next line. He is the best bar none.

From a RP perspective I liked what Mincs said when we first entered hell. It's just him, a good, brave and not so intelligent ranger. His tone is fantastic, he actually liked dying on the battle ground helping one of his best friends against evil. I can't remember the exact line but it was something like: "Boo and Minsc were on the way to the glorius fields of Rashamen but we heard you call us and came to help."

I heard this line for the first time yesterday. I'm in the asylum and have to use Minsc in stealth mode because of the lack of a decent thief when he comes out with the classic:

'No-one can see me - but my battle cry may give me away'

Well, its been a long time since i read it, and im translating from spanish, but one of the bests was when I met Firkraag and Minsc said something like:

"We wouldnt be cowards if we leave and return when we have a bigger sword".
Made me laugh over the floor
