Is it possible to create a dual archer (ranger)/mage? The only duals for rangers seem to be ranger/clerics. My game style is very heavy in ranged weapons, so an archer/mage would be perfect...

i do not believe it is a viable pairing in BG2 but it would make an excellent combo.

Unfortunatly one cannot dual a archer to a Mage
to bad though

i think that by useing shadowkeeper or one of the editors you can duel class to this

Thx for the info...anyone know why? They wouldn't seem to be any more powerful than a kensai/mage or some other dual classes...that must be the reason though.

Since you can't duel an archer into a mage go with a straight fighter.. max him out in the bow of choice, then duel to mage... that should work

Sir_Tainly 12-08-2000 04:59 AM

Not quite what you wanted but Nalia in my game uses a short bow, kind of making an her an Archer/Mage combo.

Armisael 12-08-2000 05:22 AM

Yes, but Nalia sucks. : P

Sir_Tainly 12-08-2000 05:25 AM

I know thats why I haven't bothered to recue her again! on another note I not sure that women that suck are necessarily a bad thing ....

aha.. I smell an npc-plot which I haven't played.. do you have to have nalia in the party to trigger (if so when, where and how do you trigger the quest) it or is it enough to have the stronghold??

Sir_Tainly 12-08-2000 09:09 AM

You want something more than a castle, xp and gold every so often ... some people are hard to please, seeesh. Another NPC plot, are refering to my reference to Nalia being captured? If so try going to her father's funeral it kind of snow balls from there.

Sir_Tainly 12-08-2000 09:14 AM

Sorry it should be snowballs not "snow balls"!
