I was fightin the red dragon and my assasin couldn't hurt him. His arrows did nothing and I used +2 arrows,fire arrows, acid arrows to no effect even though nalia using the same arrows caused damage. Also I guess that invsibility doesn't work against dragons or hide in shadows either. How can an assasim harm a dragon?. Also whats the best sword or dagger for an assasin. I've got the backstabbing sword and I was gonna get pixie prick +5 but I was to keep a bow cause thats my main weapon.

It'll be a bit hard, seeing as the assassin's strength is in backstabbing, and a dragon can't be backstabbed. Still, it *can* be done - depends on what level you are and what weapons you have at your disposal. Are you soloing? That's going to make things a bit more difficult.

I'm afraid that the Pixie Prick is a bit too small to take him down though. You might need something a bit...bigger. ;)

Nope. I'm in a group. I've killed the dragon without my assasin. Just had to keep him out of the way. I'm lvl 13 I think. I've got that bow that shoots them magical arrows. Not the geasan bow, the one you can buy from trademeet I think. And I used the +2 arrows. Also I have the short sword of backstabing. I normally backstab the enemy mage with poisan just incase then poisen the rest with my bow.

Hi Warby!

First off, if you're using Tasheron's Bow (the +3 Trademeet jobby) then DO NOT equip any arrows -- it automatically fires unlimited +3 phantom arrows, if I recall correctly. But if you can't hit with the phantom arrowss, try Arrows of Piercing. They get +6 to-hit.

My favorite anti-dragon arrows are Arrows of Biting. These, combined with an Assassin's poison ability, ought to bring the wyrm down with alarming speed.

The fact that Nalia hits and you don't could mean a couple of things:

How does your Dex compare to hers? Yours is higher I hope, but if not, that could be the reason.

Is the dragon using Stoneskins? Those will eat up many hits, and the ones which get through will be fairly random -- Nalia might just have gotten lucky.

Try setting lots of traps before you awaken the dragon to lower his hps, then use Tasheron's bow w/o any arrows equipped as previously stated.

The best way to beat the dragon is the same way to beat anything else, With EXTREME FORCE.....

I used lower resistance (or essence?) to weaken dragons, that helps, throw in a couple and he should be weaker.

Do not forget to use your Poison Ability, so that when you hit, you deal additional damage. Many people seem to overlook this extremely potent part of an Assassin... ...

If you have TOB installed then the dragon will go hostile when you are setting traps.

Ahhhh... but you can set them out of his visual sight and lure him to them later on. ;)

I'm an elf assasin so I've got a dex of 19. I tried all the arrows so it was prob the stoneskin. Jan died and Nalia didn't have many removal spells so the stone skin must have run out for nalia to get the killing shot.I always use the poison. Just backstab one then shoot the rest with arrows and you fighter can kill em easily. Also I've already completed the game and I couldn't find the the string stuff for the geasan bow. What is it and where do you get it?.

It's in the asylum dungeon. In the room with the monster portraits on the wall, open the one on the far right (Umber Hulks, I think - it's been a while), there is a tunnel leading to a room with a few clay golems and a chest with the string.
