RAISTLIN 02-18-2001 08:14 PM

Nice gif! I'm too lazy to type all that, though!

Cloudbringer 02-18-2001 08:17 PM

LoA: it's a variation of html, see the Smiley thread, but you type square bracket, i, square bracket before the word, then square bracket, /i, square bracket after the word or words you want italicized.

Lord of Alcohol 02-18-2001 08:21 PM

Cloudbringer 02-18-2001 08:27 PM

LoA: LOL I have created an ITALICS monster! hahaha

I missed my calling...

FrankenCloud BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

er, the vodka sour just kicked in, typing sloooooowly now!

Lord of Alcohol 02-18-2001 08:32 PM

So what did you decide what Forgotten Realms book you wanted Cloudbringer? Also I need a fifth book to order from Amazon(current shipping discount for 5) so any suggestions?

Ladyzekke 02-18-2001 09:01 PM

LofA - well, I see you got the bold stuff down, but what about the icons? I can explain it in an easier manner if you need?

Cloudbringer (and LofA) - found a funny website today by chance. twistedtunes.com I think. Had a lot of funny plays on different types of songs, and a lot of the singers sound soo realistic too! For you LofA, I would recommend the site www.amihotornot.com I think you should enter your picture!

Cloudbringer 02-18-2001 09:08 PM

LadyW: hahaha! amihotornot! haahahahaha

LoA: I think I'm going to go with your suggestion and possibly the Avatar series and of course The Simbul's Gift as Memnoch suggested! Will order if I can drag self away from here!

As for your order- you only doing D&D/fantasy books or other stuff?

Cloudbringer, currently reading a few light mysteries and two html for beginners books...(not reading much at all, actually, but typing here and playing bg2!)

Lord of Alcohol 02-18-2001 09:18 PM

Cloudbringer-Actually I have two SF books, one spy type, and one military type fiction in the shopping cart. Just need one more!

LadyWendy-I'll check it out! But no scanner so I cant add drunken idiot pics right now. But I'll see what I can do

Sir Taliesin 02-18-2001 09:20 PM

LoA. Try JV Jones. The Bakers Boy series. Their pretty good!

Sir Taliesin 02-18-2001 09:22 PM

Cloudbringer 02-18-2001 09:36 PM

Lord of Alcohol 02-18-2001 09:41 PM

Sir Talieson, What kind of books are they? I tried on Amazon but didnt find them so I may have to do a more specific search

Ladyzekke 02-18-2001 09:43 PM

Sir Taliesin - yes, on one of the other threads, can't remember which one, but I gave you the whole lowdown. I think it was that thread that is now over 100, Cloudbringer's such nice people thread.

Cloudbringer - you should check it out!

LOLs I swear! Unfortunatlely I have a habit of giving people 3s just to be evil!! Teeheeheee!

Sir Taliesin 02-18-2001 09:57 PM

LoA, It a trilogy of books by J.V. Jones called The Book of Words Trilogy. Actually rather than me telling you about it. Go to her web page and select the "read" catagory at the top. It's got some selections from each of her books. Kind of like test driving them! I just found this. It's jvj.com. I'm currently reading "A Cavern of Black Ice" by here. I'm about half way through it and I'll buy the next one. It's good. But go like at her website. Oh and check out Bodger and GRift. They are found on the same website. Words to live by.

Lady Wendy I'll find that old post on the pork chops. My mouth is watering already!!!!

Sir Taliesin 02-18-2001 10:08 PM

Thanks LadyChef. I got it all written down.

Lord of Alcohol 02-18-2001 10:10 PM

Ok Sir Talieson, I'll check it out tomorrow. Have to up early

Ladyzekke 02-18-2001 10:24 PM

Sir Taliesin - sorry I didn't give exact measurements, but it is really a personal taste kind of thing. As you experiment, you'll eventually find your own soy, teriyaki, worstershire ratio preferences! My personal preferance is to load em down with tons of soy and teriyaki, only adding tablespoons of water to keep it from burning/evaporating. The more sauce quantity, the spicier the chops. Unlike steak, the soy and teriyaki really penetrates and gets into the meat, so there is really no need for a pre-marinate. They marinate and cook at the same time! A few stabs with the fork while cooking doesn't hurt either! Just keep an eye on it every 20 minutes or so, just to make sure the sauces aren't burning away, and you can't go wrong! Also, make sure you use a casserole dish of some type that has a top for it. Need that top!!

Tomorrow - Lipton onion chuck roast!!

Sir Taliesin 02-18-2001 11:11 PM

Keep the recipes coming. I love to cook. Don't get to much, since my wife quit work. She thinks that's her job now.
Guess I shouldn't complain to much.

Bahamut 02-18-2001 11:27 PM

I don't get it!!!! How do you frakin italicize!!!!!

Jerome 02-19-2001 05:38 AM

Cooking? oh dear lord no!!!

[runs off]

Tobbin_OHF 02-19-2001 06:21 AM

the way you italicize is by putting an i in brackets before what you want to italicize and then putting a slash i in brackets after it.

Ex: (i) Death awaits the foolish (/i)
Death awaits the foolish

Now, the first one I used parenthesis around the i and backslash i so you will need to put brackets there. [] Give it a try and see what you can come up with.

You can bold face this with a b just like you did with the i.
Ex: (b)(i) Death awaits the foolish (/b) (/i)
Death awaits the foolish

You can add color to the dealio with color=f0000ff in brackets and a slash color to turn it off.
Ex: (color=f0000ff)(b)(i) Death awaits the foolish (/i) (/b) (/color)
Death awaits the foolish

You can change the f0000ff to another number to change color type.

Lord of Alcohol 02-19-2001 07:04 AM

Sir Tlieson, I took your advice and finished off my book order with The Bakers Boy . Why the hell I'm ordering books when I still have a stack of them to read is my next question!

Cloudbringer 02-19-2001 08:13 AM

Goooood Morning, Jerome, my little sweeeeeeet fallen paladin turned ghoul...eeewwww....such a ..unclean sort you keep company with, young man! You want to try a little of my new ghoul soup? Er noodle soup, yes, that's what I meant...just wander next to the fire....BWAHAHAHAHAHHA!

Tobbin_OHF 02-19-2001 08:16 AM

Oh hey, CB, I finally added a bit on to the Chain Story Anyone? thread. I tried to get through some of the BK threads, but GOOD GOD they were long. I'll tackle them sometime soon as time permits.

Lord of Alcohol 02-19-2001 04:36 PM

LadyWendy! I went to amihotornot.com and thats funny! I've really got to get my picture on there to see the 1.0's!!!! Maybe I'll get a date out of it Maybe with the only girl I rated 10. Hey was that you or Lady Cloudbringer?

Ladyzekke 02-19-2001 05:55 PM

Something is going freaky on my end here boardwise. The list of threads says one thing, but when I click on it I am in another. All of today's threads are missing on the list, yet they are really still here just, what? hiding beneath them?? Is just me here??

Lord of Alcohol, glad you got a chuckle at that site! I swear when I went through it, I saw pictures of men on the women's list??! I mean, there was just no way they could have been women, even if they did pose like one!! And the men, well, some are quite err, odd!

Melusine 02-19-2001 06:08 PM

Lady Z
I was just asking the same thing on my "New Sig" thread...must be another crash
