alrite i have killed every possible thing inside that dungeon, i have looked everywhere and there is nothing left in there, but when i go try to put that final stake into the bottom coffin the sword doesnt show up. plz help me!

I am assuming that you are clearing out Bodhi and her guild in Chapter 3. Have you killed Lassal yet? He is the male vampire that taunts you. You need to go downstairs where he will ambush you with more vampires. After surviving the ambush, Lassal will retreat back upstairs to the Spike Room. Enter the Spike Room( carefully, as there are undisarmable traps) and kill him.

You should be able to stake the third coffin now.

ya see thats the problem, i killed everything downstairs and after everything was dead i went into the spike room and nothing was in there, its starting to get annoying. maybe its a bug?

If you didn't see him in the spike room, he is still there. When you kill him downstairs he says that he will be upstairs. He is in the far back end of the blood and spikes room. Surrounded by traps too.

Have you searched all the rooms downstairs? Lassal is not involved in the ambush. You have to go to the room north-east of the Blood Room, open the door and talk to him. Then he will teleport to the Spike Room.

i opened that door and nothing was there, is there a way i coulda already killed him by accident?

since i knew the ambush was coming, i had my guy cast fireball into the blood room b4 they even attacked me, could i have messed something up?

? Lassal is invulnerable when he is neutral, I have tried killing him before with summons when he was still neutral. Sounds like you have a bug in your game. Have you patched your game?

That could be it. You might have hit Lassal and made him hostile, botching up the script. Do you have an earlier save?

yea i do but i have done so many otha quests that itd be a huge pain in the ass to do all over.

you think there is any other way besides loading in this saved game a while back that i could somehow finish this quest???

Shadowkeeper comes to mind, but I do not use it, so you will have to ask those that do, whether or not you can edit the variables so that you can stake the coffin.

alrite now im jus absolutely stumped, i loaded back the game b4 i killed everyone downstairs, killed everyone again but this time didnt cast fireball, and i go inside the room and he still isnt there, god dammit.

Can you e-mail me your save folder? Zip it up and add it to your attachment, I will then load it up and try to see what is the problem. I need to sleep soon though, so I will get back to you in about, 8-9 hours.

theres a problem to that, i have a iMac. so can i still give u the zip file?? i doubt it tho

iMacs have different .zip files? Well, I can only say maybe you got a bug in your game. Go see if you got the latest official patch, and if that still does not work, go get the Fixpack v3.61 from Balderdash.

yea that file i cant download because it is a .exe. its weird tho becuz i loaded the saved game killed everything, went into that room and all it showed was like a body laying on the floor, i dunno if thats whats supposed to happen, but i just want to get this fukin quest ova and done with.

Try e-mailing the zip file first, if I cannot unzip it, I will inform you.

I loaded up your game and yup, it would seem that your game is bugged, because I could stake the final coffin which triggered ~~spoiler~~ .

Are you sure you got the latest SoA patch?

By the way, are you sure you cannot download .exe files? The attachment you e-mailed me was a .exe file.

PS: When you solve this bug, you may want to consider rescuing Jaheira from her curse as soon as possible, because if I am not wrong, she is on the verge of permanent death given her current stat points.

ya know whut u can do for me and id be the greatest help i could ask for is stake the coffin do sum shit and then send me the new saved game back as a .zip
