I just started again and the monestary always makes me wonder. What the heck are they doing with 2 necked statues, 1 holding a scull no less?
And why the high-tech room with the computer stuff?

HAHA, F o'9.

@ Television: Did you miss the forms you can see from the beach, one beheaded person you step through to get in and one whose legs are water? (with Resurrection in the appropriate part even...) & the computer stuff is to control the lights and sound system, and payroll.

Oh, and it'd MonAstEry.

They're reaching forward, holding the dusts. You can't see them; like the rest of her body, they're made of air.

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-17-2004 01:37 AM

omg

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 08-17-2004 05:54 AM

Ok you clowns, you're a really big help!
I guess I'll have to question Braffit...

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-17-2004 06:04 AM

If you stand in front of the monastery, look straight up and jump 10 times, you will see a very special easter egg!

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 08-17-2004 06:23 AM

Thanks for the email Fiend;
What I meant was "naked". You know the statue of the naked woman kneeling in front of the healing water in the room with the coffins. And the other one in the room with the trap door in front of her, holding a scull in her hand that you have to touch to open the safe. It just doesn't belong in a monestary IMHO.

Then you have to discuss the fact, that there are stamina amulets for women only in the sleeping room of the monks in the arnika temple too :D

I think, there was a topic about that.

Yeah, that was me too, but I never did get an answer.

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-17-2004 01:24 PM

Ahhh, that veeery old questions... why monks need stamina amulets, why Rapax queen has got a portal to the temple, why are there so few women in Arnika etc. Plz, correct this "necked". And try my easter egg, it's really a good one!

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-17-2004 02:16 PM

"Although we may forget in times of strife
DEATH is a doorway to a NEW LIFE"
Hmmm... skull is a symbol of death, key to the safe with res powder is a symbol of new life... the statue has to be a symbol of that times of strife. :-D

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-17-2004 02:18 PM

Or maybe the programmers were just bored and wanted to have some fun with making nice 3D model, it is even more probable.... :-D

Loudhy 08-18-2004 02:01 AM

You can also ask : Why are those monks pervers?

What "game" is is to put a person on a trapdoor and let him fall to death if he don't know the meaning of the riddle ? Why don't they remove the crushed person after that ? They let him rot ( hell, how do they survive that smell ) on a crossing. And those other skeletons in the room ?

And how did they manage to transport those crates and barrels into the rooms of the lower monastery ? What is the room, where you find the safe, for ( very bloody stone ) ??? Is it a slaughterroom ? But how do the transport the animals ? Through a very nice hallway ??

Etc. etc. :D :D

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-18-2004 02:18 AM

Yeah, that monastery is really a strange place... Maybe Rattus knew something about it and thats why he 'disappeared'... :-D

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-18-2004 02:19 AM

Hmmmmm, that could be a new topic... who made him disappear and why... :-D :-D :-D

Loudhy 08-18-2004 07:36 AM

And just remembered another one :

How foolish must one be, to wait with the search for the Destinae Dominus until it's the time of The Ascension ???? :D :D

J'aran 08-22-2004 02:25 PM

Why are there statues of naked women in a monastery, you ask?

Why not? It's a fantasy world, the creators can shape it any way they want to. Besides, there are enough religions without any taboos whatsoever about nakedness even in the real world. Don't judge everything by the standards of sexually oppressed Christianity.

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 08-22-2004 07:32 PM

Hey, I think it's great; very liberating. In fact there are 2 at the entrance to the ghosts in the Arnika Temple. But, it does make me wonder, why no male statues?
And believe me, I'm from Germany and there are a lot of Christians who go nude at the beach, or wherever, and I'm sure in your area too.

Gadgeteer Tom 08-26-2004 12:06 PM

Fiend of the 9 Worlds - OK, so if I want to see that 'Special Easter egg", how do I 'Jump' ?

I saw a very strange sight once in the Rapax away camp (still a templar in good standing, the Prince quite annoyed with me - but I snuck thru the concubines to open taht safe - but couldn't "sneak" back out) - I was pushing a tent wall, fell thru - sort of 'underneath' it - saw sky, clouds - and was crushed...

Wereboar 08-26-2004 12:58 PM

Tom - that is here refered as 'falling off the map', and can happen in many places.

Fiend of the 9 Worlds 08-26-2004 01:20 PM

It was a joke about that easter egg... you can't jump in Wizardry 8. :-D But if anybody could do that - it would be a really good Easter Egg... :-D
