You need a blue marble, you will find it in one of the nearby huts.

Blue indentation in a wall?
Isn't it in a door?

Spoilerish for a large round blue indentation in a door:

There should be some kind of blue marble/round stone/some kind of round blue thingy you can find. It opens the door. Figures :D

Edit: Dang, tinkerman beat me to it. Oh well, better next time :D

Ive also ran into a few monsters that I cant beat. I was reading on monster's level ups. Does this mean if I go try to make my party more formidable will these monsters just get harder. There a fixed set of creatures there always there. when there hit points stay the same or will they level up as well?
thanks

There seems to be a few battles that are fixed, like the sorceress queen. Most random encounters do get harder untill you hit about level 15ish, then they start to level off and get easy eventually. The first party i took through the game was 5 people, the second was 2 people. The random encounters make it pretty hard for a single or 2 person group at the start, yet i found it makes all fixed encounters very easy. Wow, i forgot what i was talking about, anyways, hope what i typed helps somehow.

Hi Bowman
Are you really god? No um Im pretty sure this encounter is fixed. So is what your saying is that the fixed ones wont level up just the randoms?
thanks
liz

Only the random ones go up in level with you. The fixed battles are... fixed ;)

Since you are in trynton, I think you are having troubles with tree type enemies. Right?

Oh my you,ve hit the nail right on the head. I just read something about geting them into the no magic zone. but they seem to be able to use magic still even thoguh i cant. WHat level do you have to be to beat them?

Even the random opponents are only based upon the level of the characters in your party and the difficulty level you are playing at (Easy, Normal, Expert). The challenge is to make your characters powerful for the level they are at. That means distributing you level-up Attribute Points and Skill Points wisely, plus using the skills you want to increase. If you do it well, that will not increase the level of the monsters you face.

Regarding the willows, yeah, those have given me a lot of trouble, too, at the level one first reaches them. You can come back later and they will be the same.

I haven't tried it myself but from what I've heard you should try and run through the no magic zone. This should enable you to use magic while they cannot. Perhaps you should first to find out where the no magic zone starts and ends exactly. Perhaps you didn't lure them in far enough?
Can't remember right now at what level I beat these guys.

Hello Liz, congrats on getting past the willows!

There should be someone on the Fourth Bough for you to talk to.

1) Make sure you are on the 4th Bough. Where the trees are, for example, isn't it.

2) Consider that there may be more than one level there (physically, I mean).

Good luck! Let us know if you need more.
