I am currently playing as a neutral Half-Orc berserker and i was wondering how the whole romance thing works i have read people tlaking about it and i wanted ot know what the deal with it is. I mean is it a possibility as a half-orc? and who are the possible choices? what affect does my decision have on th game i mean is choosing someone better then choosing someone else and if so who is the best?

Well each romance has their own racial preference as far. But I know that Viconia wont romance with elves, and I think Airie wont romance with you being evil. But They're all good. Just pick one and go for it. It doesnt really impact the nd of the game.

Oh and your choices are Jaheira,Viconia, and Aerie.

Half-orc? Sorry buddy. You can only have relationships if your character is Human, Elf, or Half-Elf, nothing else.

I dunno. A half-orc female would be just about right for Anomen, LOL, I'm KIDDING!

wait so no relationship for half-orc at all? and btw i am not evil i an neutral, also Natlia(sp?) isnt an option no matter what race? My party now sucks, i got Me, (Half-Orc Berserker), Khalid, Minsc, Jan, Natlia and Aerie i got the 3 fighters with melee and the others with range i need some better people but i hate Jaheria.

You can download a patch at Baldurdash to allow romances.

How'd you get Khalid?

AFA as another member for your party, you might try Cernd or Haer'Dalis. You seem to have everything else covered.
(but I don't think you have Khalid - he's dead in BGII. Could it be Keldorn or Korgan? Both are excellent tanks).

I meant keldorn not khalid sorry i am kinda iskc and outta it right now. Anyhow thanks for the link to that patch but it says it will only work on new games so i would have to start agian and if i am going to do that i will pick a human or sometnhing anyways instead of messing with the game scripts. but thanks.

WHAT DOES Haer'Dalis DO? He is a bard with no bard song and a low hps. what good is he? I mena i like saving him cause its a neat place but i hate having him travel with me cause i cant find a use for him i would rather jsut have Jan or Natalia.

That doesn't make sense to me, my Halfling is having a romance with Jaheira.

If you keep Haer'Dalis and Aerie together long enough, they eventually fall in love. Also, Haer'Dalis is good as a spellcaster with the Melodic Chain, which can be found when you kill the first couple of guys when you go to rescue him. He also does have bard song, or at least in my game he seems to. Bows work good for him too.

Also,male gnomes can romance Aerie.
Male halflings,humans and half elves can have any romance with the 3 females.
Male elves cannot romance Viconia.
