click on "wizardry 8", then "items". he has a huuuge list of nearly everything. click on "gadgets" at the top of the list, and for most of them he gives you locations. i am afraid, unless someone here remembers exactly where they found it, that will be as close as you can get.

LOL. anyway, half the fun is finding this stuff, right? :: ducks as everyone starts throwing empty soda cans, taco wrappers, and assorted aol cds at her head ::

Now even if nobody can remember their exalt locations, have anyone found them? If yes, can you recall anything about them (e.g in a chest?, in a caved in area?, near the underground lake?), having vague memories as a clue are a lot better than me running around these 2 areas clueless and frustrated. I have explored the said areas 2-3 times each but could not find the items and i have a ranger with 80+ scouting and x-ray on all the time. Hopefully they are not random. I had a very hard time finding that silly gunpowder too.

i'm sorry! i really thought it would help. :(

If its the same high voltage gadget, I found mine on crock.

Does anyone remember where these 2 objects are? I can't find them either.

Also can't seem to find Doll in arnika.

The doll is in one of the abandoned houses in Arnika. You'll find it sitting (or rather floating) on a bed.

Edit: Nevermind on the High Voltage Amplifier, just checked my game and realized I only have the *normal* Voltage Amplifier. Sorry for the mix-up. [img]smile.gif[/img]

The doll I have located in Arnika (as said, floating on a bed). I also got the High Volt off Crock (as stated, sigh, I am so useful) and the electric eye, I have not seen, and I think I have mapped all of Marten's Bluff (unless Detect Secrets is needed to get it, because I didn't do the whole zone doing that) [img]smile.gif[/img]

Have never been able to get the High Voltage Transformer off Crock. However, he does always seem to have a Voltage Amplifier on him.. which ain't the same thing, nope, uh-nuh already, tho it does share the word 'voltage'. :D

I've searched Mt Gigas thoroughly also and haven't found the electric eye or the transformer there. One other gadget component that is mighty elusive is the Demon Doll supposedly in the Upper Rapax Castle. It isn't the same gadget as the Doll found in the abandoned house in Arnika unfortunately.

Seems we still have some speculation on a few things...any others want to comment on location of:

Demon Doll
High Voltage Transformer
Electric Eye
Loudspeaker

Might as well bump this up. I just finished searching Mt. Gigas for the loudspeaker and high voltage amplifier myself to no avail. Had detect secrets on most of the time.

to the best of my knowledge, the only source for the existence of these items is the hint guide...and we all know how accurate that is

I haven't seen anyone [bold]ever [/bold]say that they found any of these items. (With the exception of the usual confusion between the Amplifier and the Transformer, b/c of the word 'voltage.')

Yes, I did find the HIGH voltage amplifier. This does not mean everyone will find the high voltage amplifier. What's being overlooked is that most if not all the best items in the game are randomized, this includes gadgets. Just as the light sword, and the top bard instruments are randomized, so are the gadgets. No single Gadgeteer will build all the gadgets without cheating. Just like your bards won't get all the best instruments, and yout fighter won't get all the best weapons.

Am sorry to say that there is no such gadget in the Dominus universe. There supposedly is a High Voltage *Transformer* however.

I found in in Mt. Gigas; I think it was in the room opened by the presure plate, but don't remember exactly. I wasn't using a gadgeteer, so all the gadgets just got thrown into a locker in HLL headquaters, where it sits to this day.

hmmm.

seems to support my theory on randomization in the game. if your class needs something, there is a lower chance of you finding it compared to a group that doesn't use that class.

in my current game i am finding wonderful samurai and ninja accessories and weapons. but try to get them with my group that has a ninja? nuh unh. no way. not gonna happen in this lifetime. :D

::sighs:: i guess it explains why i am finding little to no gadgie items this go-round too. my other game, i have chests full of gadgie garbage!!
