I know it's been a while, but how would you guys feel about a fourth BG1 trivia? Is anyone interested in doing it? I don't want to make the trivia if there aren't enough people willing to take it. I started gathering questions for it a while back, but then left it alone. It wouldn't be done till end of December/early January anyway, though.

I'll definately take part.

Dragonshadow 11-08-2006 04:22 PM

Yeah, I'd attempt it.

Kyrvias 11-08-2006 06:50 PM

I'm in :D

xander12402 11-09-2006 11:28 AM

I will try to participate, but having read thru some of the previous quizes, your knowledge of the game is far superior to mine.

SixOfSpades 11-09-2006 01:15 PM

Hey, I'm up for it.

Warning: I've been playing BG1 again.

RoSs_bg2_rox 11-12-2006 08:17 PM

I'd do it.

Warning: I've not played in a while.

Kyrvias 12-06-2006 09:01 PM

So eh... any update? ;) :D

I have completed about 20% of the questions, and these are mostly the difficult/very difficult questions. One or two of them are probably way too challenging to include, so I may end up just using them as a bonus question. This means even less of the trivia is completed.

What's the difference between a bonus question and a normal question? In the end it comes to same thing: answer correctly you get points...

Kyrvias 12-08-2006 06:20 PM

Right. Didn't see the "End of December" part ;)

Or I could scrap the question altogether.
Or I could make it a 'red question', which if you get wrong, you lose points. Those questions are often very challenging, and there are only a few of them.

Regardless, it does not matter. The test is not done, and that's all that matters right now.

I just wanted to know what is the difference between a normal question and a bonus question. I checked previous quizzes and although some questions are marked as bonus I still can't see what it means.
For example if we have 4 questions in a quiz 1 bonus and 3 normal. Say, 1 point each.
So if a person answers 3 normal questions, and another answers 2 normal and one bonus they still get 3 points each and have same score.
So it seems there is no difference between a normal questions and a bonus one except for the fact that one is tagged as bonus...

or am I missing something here?

Kyrvias 12-09-2006 11:32 AM

No, that's about the long and short of it. I prefer bonus questions to be "Double Jeapordy"

Get it right, you get the points. Get it wrong... and you lose double the points it would have been worth. ;)

You are pretty much correct. I guess calling it a bonus just makes it sound so cool . The exception being that past quizes have had the option to also answer a bonus question from the expansion (ToTSC).

Eh, screw it. I have no argument about this.

Lord 01-08-2007 12:42 AM

Sorry folks, I will need a bit more time to finish up. It will definitely be done before the end of January.

So Lord, will we be still waiting much longer?

Our sources say - Yes. :P

Well I shouldn't complain. I promised to do my second NWN quiz a year ago, but looks like that is still going to be on hold for quite some time too.

Actually, aside from the 'pictures' portion of the quiz, this trivia has been finished for quite some time. The picture section cannot be completed until around late November until I can get my hands on my BG1 CDs and install the game on my computer (got a new computer and didn't install BG1 on it yet - shame on me).

I think it's fair to say that this is unarguably the most difficult trivia I have made yet. However, it is still the most fun of them all IMO, partly because of the addition of a new section.

Or until you find somebody willing to bow out of the quiz so that you can tell them precisely what screenshots you want to use. Not that I'm nominating myself--I'd like to be on the recieving end of one of these things for once. :)

That's not much of an option since not many players take the quiz in the first place. I've postponed the release of this quiz by...what, 10 months? Another month won't kill anyone by my lazy standards.

Is this a good moment to remind everyone who won the last quiz? :D

Sounds like fun, I'll give it a go when it is finished.

I would say "bump" but this thread is already on the first page.

Re: Trivia #4?

I haven't been able to find CDs 1 and 2, even after searching for over 2 hours for them, so I will be unable to complete the picture section. Either I need a volunteer to do what Six suggested, or I remove the picture section (and probably just add on to the Misc section). Can I get a quick vote?

Re: Trivia #4?

I guess I could do some of the Screen Shots, None from the undercellar though because I can't reach there.

Re: Trivia #4?

Thanks to hard_2_hit for the screenshots. The trivia will be up either today or tomorrow.
