No spoilers in here folks.

Somewhere on their travels, my gang has picked up Perdue's sword and I can't remember where he is to return it and receive whatever small bonus is due to them! Any ideas?

Cheers.

Somewhere's about the area of Beregost. Did you want it more specific?

Kyrvias 01-15-2006 02:17 AM

Wasn't it the Five Flagons Inn?

Betelgeuse 01-15-2006 04:17 AM

there is no five flagons, not that i can remember

Kyrvias 01-15-2006 02:06 PM

Five Flagons, Burning Wizard... I think it's the Five Flagons.

If, in the case I'm wrong, that even *is* an Inn.

SixOfSpades 01-15-2006 03:53 PM

Five Flagons is an Inn in BG2, not BG1.

Beregost's inns & taverns include the Jovial Juggler, the Burning Wizard, the Red Sheaf, and Feldepost's Inn.

All of wich, contain someone that may want to kill you.

so that's why i didn't recognise the name. i'm not up to bg2 yet. will get there soon enough

Kyrvias 01-16-2006 12:18 AM

*doh!*

My mistake. In that case, I believe it was in hte Red Sheaf or burning wizard...

Berg 01-16-2006 07:10 AM

Thanks for that folks. I guess I should look around the inns in Beregost. I've spent a lot of time around the southern end of the map recently, so no wonder I couldn't find Perdue.

It's my second go at the BG series - isn't it strange how much you forget?!?

Kyrvias 01-16-2006 01:43 PM

And that would be the Feldepost, and the... one that is to the left of Silke.

Firestormalpha 01-17-2006 10:37 PM

That'd be the Red Sheaf, Chief.

Kyrvias 01-18-2006 12:03 AM

Then by process of elimination, Perdue is in the Burning Wizard!

A little off-topic... I wonder, was the pun intentional? "Perdue", who "lost" his sword...

Kyrvias 01-18-2006 11:44 AM

I don't see the pun... care to explain?

ZFR 01-18-2006 12:46 PM

"perdue" in French means exactly that: "lost" (past tense of "lose").

ister 01-18-2006 01:21 PM

Actually the past tense of lost ("perdre") is "perdu". However, the adjective for lost is either "perdu" if the lost object is masculine or "perdue" if the lost object is feminine. Sword (epee) is feminine, so it would be "perdue".

Firestormalpha 01-18-2006 03:36 PM

Sorry Kyrvias, Perdue is in the Red Sheaf. The Burning Wizard is directly next door and contains a theif who has lost his shoes. He is not perdue

Kyrvias 01-19-2006 10:50 AM

damnit...

Berg 01-19-2006 12:32 PM

I found him! 500 xp between 6 party members - was it worth it? If nothing else it sparked a good discussion I guess!
