Remember the old D&D cartoon with the little DM and the 6 kids who got sucked into the game and had to find a way out? The Cavalier - The Barbarian - The Thief - The Acrobat - The Ranger - The Magician. How would you make the Acrobat? I guess you could make her the Swashbuckler(part acrobat).

The barb (Bobby)would have to use a club.(no shield)
The acrobat (Diana)would use a quarterstaff
The rander (Hank)a bow
The cavalier (Eric)used a shield(don't know how to work that)
The thief (Sheila)has an invisiblity cloak(don't know how to work this either)
The mage (Presto)used his hat(i guess no weapon for him either)

IIRC the ranger was the party leader. Has anyone tried to make this party in the game?(would need TUTU for Cavalier,Swashbuckler, and Barb)

Yep. Its mentioned in BG2. Remember that the kits are just that, you don't need to make Eric a cavalier, maybe just as a paladin.

Firestormalpha 06-25-2005 01:54 PM

In BG1 yeah you either need tutu, or BGT.

Yeah, it was a cool cartoon. I always remembered Eric being the leader...but theres one person I can't beleive you forgot....Uni!!!! Uni was by far the coolest!

Oh, and the main man himself, the Dungeon Master!!!

Khayne 06-25-2005 10:50 PM

I mentioned the DM the little guy bald on top wore a red cloak.
Eric the cavalier was the scared one all the time IIRC.
I didn't forget little uni but I was going for a BG party of the cartoon chars. The cartoon was in the 80's yes I'm an old fart.

:off topic, but only mostly:

I'm sorry, how old are you?

I kinda remember that show, a little. But I clearly remember watching smurfs, G.I. Joe, Transformers (the original), He-man, Voltron, etc.

Does that make me an old fart too?

I will be 34 in a couple months. Hahaha and this was my 34th post. Yes I remember all of those. I still have the original Oddessy(prob spelled wrong its up in the attic) no controller just 1 solid machine with a stick on either side. It had pong and tennis I think. It was yellow and black I think also. I will have to go get it out sometime.

I used to love that show. If they ever released it on DVD, I'd buy it right away.

Lavindathar 06-26-2005 05:43 AM

It was a cool show!

Yeah, your right! Eric did get really scared!!! So I guess he wasn't the leader! I can visualise everyone, except the ranger!

Thanks, Lav! Just gunna dip into that "new car fund" a tiny bit. ;)

Ranger was dressed in green with his magic bow that shot magic arrows(no draw string on the bow except when he went to pull it back it glowed and so did the arrow) would be nice to have that bow in this game no quiver to carry.

Lavindathar 06-27-2005 04:54 PM

Ahh yeah cool! I dont really remember him, but I do remember his bow! lol.

Would be cool though to have that bow in the game!

The best we get is the "plentiful quiver" thing in ToB!

krunchyfrogg 06-27-2005 05:31 PM

Gesen and Tansheron's Bow don't need arrows. As said above, those are in SoA though, and not much help here.

The Cavalier would suck in BG even more than he did in the TV show. First of all, he couldn't cause any damage without a weapon. Secondly, he was afraid of everything, while Cavaliers are supposed to be fearless.

Kyrvias 06-29-2005 12:33 AM

no, his fist would do damage.
