Here!!!

Looks like it will be good, but after the two last disapointments I'm not holding my breath too much...

But the Lava fighting scene looks awesome!...

Larry_OHF 11-06-2004 02:29 PM

LOL What are the odds! I put mine up at the same time you did! That's pretty cool.

I will remove mine, as yours runs better.

Jaradu 11-06-2004 02:33 PM

*dies*

The... graphics!... plot!.... LIGHTSABERS!!!

Must see!

Ilander 11-06-2004 02:47 PM

Looks pretty...very pretty...AND it looks promising. Jeez I hope it fulfills its potential! C'mon George, please, for the love of all that is sacred, please please don't screw this one up!

Dreamer128 11-08-2004 02:30 AM

Heh.. I'm willing to bet that Jar Jar Binks is in fact Anakins father and the dark lord of the Sith. Now that would be shocking. ;) Trailer looks good, btw. I liked the fact that they put in the old Obi-Wan. Also, more Yoda-lightsaber scenes.

Variol (Farseer) Elmwood 11-08-2004 05:22 AM

Umm, looks good. What is "Sith"?

J'aran 11-08-2004 05:35 AM

The Sith are pretty much the dark side equivalent of the Jedi.

I'll definately take a look at that trailer when I get home from work.

Larry_OHF 11-08-2004 11:44 AM

I would highly recommend people learn more of the history of Star Wars if they do not understand the Sith or how the dark side can use lightening in their attacks and how important it was that Yoda was able to stop the lightening attack in the second movie. I have been given an oral history of most of that stuff, like how the Sith first came to the planet they now inhabit, how they fought with one another until they were almost all destroyed and that only two ever exist at any given time now with the true power...the master and the apprentice...and how a Sith's light saber's crystals are actually better than a Jedi's.

JrKASperov 11-08-2004 11:54 AM

It actually looked like christian thingything is acting like a good boy. The look on his face when he's pushing obi-wan to the ground is simply phenomenal.

Link 11-08-2004 12:45 PM

His name is actually Hayden Christensen, JR And yeah, I love the way he looks in that particular scene, as well as his eyes (glaring red). Simply awsome! Can't wait!

SecretMaster 11-08-2004 10:45 PM

Didn't see the trailer, can't with my modem, but I guarantee the most appealing part is the lightsaber battles.

Sir Goulum 11-08-2004 11:10 PM

Saw it today when I went to see The Incredibles. Looks interesting, YES! at the Yoda-with-light saber!

T-D-C 11-09-2004 02:21 AM

I can not wait this looks to be awsome! More Yoda, The original voice of darth vader Mr James Earl Jones.

I love how the trailer ties in with Episode 4: A New Hope

Calaethis Dragonsbane 11-09-2004 02:50 AM

Imo, it actually looks pretty lame. I suspect they've just thrown in all the best parts and the teaser is probably the only thing worth watching.

Oh well, so long as Jar Jar dies...

...

Hmm. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh. Episode 1 and 2 weren't that bad, they just weren't that good. Too much hype. I suspect that Ep3 won't be that great either. Ah well.

Kakero 11-09-2004 06:56 AM

wooo..it look awesome. I just hope the movie will be as awesome as that trailer. :D

Any news of when the movie is coming out? Can't understand a thing in that website.

T-D-C 11-09-2004 03:40 PM

I believe that the trailer mentions that it comes out June 2005. So a few more months to wait.

Whoa, I didn't know that. O.o I know a lot of the background of Star Wars though...but not that far back. That's very interesting Larry...is there a reason why the crystals are better?

And I thought the trailer looked awesome. Though I'm tempering my hope, as usual...and the thing about the first two films was, they didn't match the original films, and since it was Star Wars, and directed by George Lucas, everyone was probably thinking, "Yeah! Another masterpiece in the making!"

...

And then it didn't turn out to be one. I think they're good films in their own right though.

The only thing I remember at this time is that the crystals on the Sith's new home planet (well...they have been there 1,000 years) is just a better crystal and makes for a harder light saber. I will call my friend up and see if he can direct me to the actual books or whatever where he learned his vast knowledge, then tell everyone.

Elif Godson 11-10-2004 10:59 AM

I still have to see the second one.

Dron_Cah 11-10-2004 02:17 PM

Actually, Larry, the crystals vary from person to person. In general, during the Old Republic, most Jedi did use the same kind of crystal, but some ventured out and sought their own. And as far as a Sith's being lightsaber "harder" than a jedi's (please no puns!), that seems silly. After all, it is supposed to be pure energy. Now, my forte is especially in the original trilogy, and afterwards, but I have a good amount of knowledge throughout, and I have not heard that said, "officially." aka, a book approved through Georgey. ;)
Oh, and the Yoda soaking up lightning is just a simple dissipate energy technique, but merely requires loads of power to pull off. aka, Yoda's a bad-ass.
Oh, and finally, it was cooler when there was more than 2 sith at a time, imo. Remembers Darth Abadon. ;)

krunchyfrogg 11-10-2004 11:46 PM

Episodes I and II stunk, but this one looks really good.

More snips and tidbits are on the bonus disc of the original trilogy's DVD set (I highly recommend!).

The guy that told me this would never have told me anything that was not "official". He loves Star Wars more than any other man I have ever met. His vast knowledge of LotR had me sceptical as well until he directed me toward the sources and I could see for myself that he was right on every account. Therefore I trust he knew where he was getting his info about Star Wars from, and that it was credible.

Just give me a few days to get the research done though as you have got me wanting to know exactly where he got this info. I will e-mail him now at work and see what he says to defend his sources.

Sythe 11-12-2004 06:57 PM

The trailer looks like sheet.
Especially with the part when Vader is rising. Only thing that made me gasp was Anakin's evil eye.

krunchyfrogg 11-12-2004 08:30 PM

Do you really feel this way, Scythe? Or do you just think the statement "sheet" is funny?

Sir Degrader 11-12-2004 08:34 PM

Perhaps both, but just out of curiosity, does anyone see a bizarre wookie-anakin-padme love triangle here :D ?

Dron_Cah 11-12-2004 09:34 PM

Anything with Natalie Portman sounds good to me! :D Throw in a giant furry guy, and its just that much more interesting! :D

I really do indeed fee this way. Why else would I post a negative commentary on the trailer? And I used "sheet" as a subsitute for sh*t. And apparently you cannot use expletives in these forums.

That can be so wrong.

krunchyfrogg 11-13-2004 12:22 AM

I consider hiding an expletive just as bad as using one. I know what you meant, Scythe. Sorry for being an annoyance, I was in a pissy mood (vicadin hadn't kicked in), and I apologize.

Apology accepted don't worry about it. :D

And I will consider hiding the naughty words a little better. Maybe I could have said "This movie is shitake mushrooms."

krunchyfrogg 11-13-2004 11:16 AM

LoL

Dron_Cah 11-13-2004 04:17 PM

I like mushrooms. The stuffed kind from that Chinese restraunt are the best!! :D Ok, no more hijacking, I'm very interested in finding out if the crystal-thing is true, so that I may figure out what kind of idiot could actually write that ina ny seriousness. I mean, really, it just dosen't add up! Oh well, anyways, still interested!
