Sub-Zero or Scropian?
I say scropian Get over here! |
Sub-Zero no doubt!
|
Scorpion...not Scropian...
Edit: Wait a tick...Sub-Zero is definately cooler...look at his name...he freezes stuff... [ 10-06-2003, 09:25 PM: Message edited by: Lord Lothar ] |
I like Scorpion. "Get over here!"
|
I like Sub-Zero best. Scorpion (Scrupian LOL ) with that weird beastie inside his hand is just freaky
|
I only refer to the Sub Zeros and Scorpions from the first two games as all of the ones after them were just regurgitations of the orginal ideas and didnt really come up with anything new.
That said: In my book Sub Zero is definately coolest in MK1. Gotta love the spinal column rip fatality But Scorpion takes the cake in MK2. Those all-white eyes. The industrial look of his mask. The 'Toasty!' exclamation in his more famous 'incinerator' fatality. Not to mention his brutal hook-blade 'divider' fatality as well. Sub Zero just seems alot weaker in MK2, like not as much effort was put into developing his character as was done for Scorpion. |
You know an awful lot about Mortal Kombat fatalaties Hierophant! I only know about Liu Kang's Dragon Transformation, and Sub Zero's body-freeze-torso-bash.

Ryu. :D
I'm not really into the MK series. ;) [ 10-08-2003, 07:24 AM: Message edited by: GokuZool ] |
I'm not a big fan of the games (I should try playing them someday ;) ). But isn't Sub-Zero that blue ninja who gets killed in every single one of the Mortal Combat movies?

Yeah well.. I still think Scorpion is an ugly bastard, and Sub Zero just rocks
|

For the record: when fighters as equal as Scorpion and Sub-Zero want to challenge each other, they use the good'ol chessboard to settle the score!! :D Of the ninja's: Reptile is the coolest, no doubt... |

Ah.. I take it that the 'Zero' in his name stands for the number of fights he actually managed to survive ;)

Jesters! Do not make fun of the mighty Sub-Zero (pronounced over-articulated :D )!!! Lest you wish to spend the rest of your meaningless lifes as a popsicle!! |

I have to say scorpion. freezing stuff is cool and all but snake like things coming out of your hands is way cooler. he was bad ass in the movie
|
Out of the three ninjas there is no doubt that scorpion is by far the coolest!
Reptile holds second place and Sub Zero is the least fave |
Yeah Reptile was also cool going invisible/cloak all the time. Cool ability.
|
Yeah I forgot about reptile. I tottaly agree with Shadow Hound
1: Scropian 2. Reptile 3. Sub Zero |

Reptile rocks! In the first Mortal Combat movie he totally kicked Liu Kangs butt! Liu only won because he was the main star of the film. Reptile's fighting style was so dynamic and cool and so was his techno-background tune :D |
"Objection!"
"Sustained. Go ahead, Mr. Link." "Your honour, this theory holds no ground. Permission asked to elaborate on my thoughts?" "Permission granted. The floor is yours, Mr. Link." "Your honour, when my client, Mr. Liu Kang, first engaged his opponent, Mr. Reptile, note that it was indeed Mr. Reptile who attacked first AND let us bear in mind that he did so from a cowardly position, the latter seemed to be on the upper hand." "Get to the point, Mr. Link" "My client demonstrated his supremecy when he performed the so-called 'Bicycle Kick' with which he managed to defeat this monstrous - " "Objection your honour!!" "Sustained!" "Opposing side unnecessarily insults my client." "Approved. Mr. Link, refrain from using foul language." "Of course, your honour. As I was saying, my client used the 'Bicycle Kick' to defeat his opponent easily, and an imputation is therefore not relevant, nor in its place. I rest my case." |

And for that matter I state that: your client executed the move known as 'The Bicycle Kick' without having the required drivers license. But I'm not a bad guy, nooooooooo..... I'll let you settle for 'plead insanity' if you provide me with a nice red Ferrari and an unlimited supply off Mr.Icecones :D [ 10-11-2003, 08:50 AM: Message edited by: Zuvio ] |

I like sub-zero better once he lost the mask. I really like his "freeze-the-ground-and-make-them-slip" move -- very funny. MK games don't get me excited too much -- a simple matter of who can push buttons faster always determines the winner. Well, the 3D ones are just hard to play, too. The last MK I owned was MKIII for N64. It was cool, but not nearly as kool as KI Gold.
These days, I see no reason to own a fight game other than Soul Calibur 2. Except maybe DOA -- I hear there are some nice um.... graphics. |

Mortal Kombat II. In that Raiden level I think: whenever you gave an uppercut, that weird fella would show up and yell some odd things. If you pressed enter during the time he was in, you got to fight smoke I believe... Brilliant! |
no contest Sub Zero
|
I remember in the Gameboy version you got smoke when you got a flawless victory against a certain opponent. Then you would end up against him. Smoke is cool Beats Sub-Zero and Reptile AND Scorpion anytime!
|
Smoke is a super-character. He'll whoopass every normal character in the game if the players have equal expertise. That's why He(the guy that started this thread) didn't include characters like Motaro. The uberguy(Shao Khan) is the coolest if you want to talk about it like that.
|
I think Shao Kahn is just a stupid walking ass. I always played with either Liu Kang (bicycle kick!!) or Sub Zero. I have a legal (!) version of Mortal Kombat 3 lying around here somewhere but it doesn't seem to work :(
