I would pick to be Drizzt why it would be a whole new expirence for me. More dextrious can live for over 700 years! Super Skilled with scmitars. And have cool adventures like in Icewind Dale the frozen north. Who would you be? It doesn't have to be part of Salvatores book it can be any authors just as long you are careful about spoilers.

If I could be one of his characters I'd hang myself. His novels are worst I've ever read.

I wouldn't say they're the worst, but very one dimensional. I wouldn't want to be any either.

that's the word for it wish I knew that when i bought them, good thing was they were dirt-cheap.

Drizzt: Gets the girl. Lives for ages. Has powerful friends. And has high intelligence and Dexterity. The same reasons for not liking him in the books, are also good reasons for wanting to be him :D

The Great ZAKNAFIEN DO'URDEN (Also known as drizzit's father)

Sythe 06-09-2003 08:31 PM

Zaknafein is like Drizzt in every way except (Major Homeland Spoilers)

that he didn't have the GUTS to get away from Menzoberranan

I think I'd have to be Elminster (pls don't hurt me!), lol, if you look at the pro's, he's favored my Mystra, greatest archmage in the world, he's going to live...long, all of his stats are high (wasn't that a 24 in cons.?), and he has more than a few powerful friends. I know alot of people have something against Elminster, but still, it'd be quite a ride to be him.

ps: and he got...ahem...jiggy with Mystra herself!

He is the godfather of the Mages` Mafia.
But i wonder why in BG2 a Sorcerer level 50 is a bigger loser like Elminster?Afterall you are a son of God

IronDragon 06-23-2003 07:28 PM

Maybe if I was fourteen years old and terribly insecure I would want to be Drizzt.

Thank the Gods I grew up

Artemis Entreri.

Who is not, by the by, and one-dimensional character these days. Of course, who can be after they've appeared in 5 or 6 books. At some point, even a hack like Salvatore has to write character into his characters.

Morgeruat 06-24-2003 10:50 AM

hmm, for a Salvatore character I'd have to say Thibbledorf Pwent, dwarven battlerager, he's one of the funniest characters I've read about in fantasy, and I like RPing characters like him, ie if it moves kill it, if it's a big doggie-monster... can I get it to bite me?

overall TSR Fantasy, either Rikus the Gladiator, or the Elfing from the Tribe of one Trilogy, both Dark Sun.

The elfling has multiple personality disorder on a massive scale, he can actually talk to them, and they all (most anyway) have one Psionic power or other, while he himself does not, making it even more interesting, some of the personalities are female, precluding any physical raltionship with the woman he loves (ok so they resolve it in the last book, but until then it's one of the coolest flaws I've seen in a TSR book)

and Rikus is just insanely strong, and as strong as you want, with a tactical mind to match his battle prowess.

Raistlin Majere 06-24-2003 04:01 PM

salvatore: Jarlaxle or Wulfgar

others: Raistlin(it'd be nice to be able to dedicate to something that much. oh yeah, the power would be nice aswell... :D )
