Just wondering what your favourite musical is. Not posting a poll, as there are so many about.

This counts theatre as well......

Some famous ones include Grease, West Side Story, Les Miserables etc etc. Disney have alot as well.

My fave is Les Miserables, seen it at the theatre twice, and very very good!

It's before the time of most of you "young pups" but my favorite is Godspell. Good music, good message, and also quite controversial at the time.

I cant believe im actually gonna reply to this thread but when I was a kid every time I went to my aunty's house I watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I thought it was great especially when they were building the barn.

We did Godspell as our school musical when I was in senior. We did it as a sort of futuristic everyone-wears-silver-jumpsuits sort of thing. It was... weird ;)

Good music though. Even though the action isn't really my bag ;)

Saw Chicago last week and really enjoyed it. It's a pretty fun musical.

I'm not really into musicals, but I did enjoy mannequin - the soundtrack was enjoyable. Many people panned this movie, but I laughed all the way through it, pretty well.

Les Mis - seen it three times - Brisbane, London, Perth.

SomeGuy 01-17-2003 07:09 PM

Why,The Penguin and The Pebble of course! :- That has to count as a muscial.Every movie disney makes seems to be a musical. Prince of Egypt,Aladin,The Lion King,The little mermaid, and The hunchback of Notredanm(sp?) are some of my favs too.

Angelousss 01-19-2003 05:00 AM

Xanadu cause it killed the musical as a viable film option for about 20 years

seriously though Jesus Christ Superstar. Judas is amazing in that.

Lavindathar 01-19-2003 05:49 AM

My bro has got Jesus Christ Superstar upstairs on DVD, but I've never watched it.

Just doesn't strike me! Give me Life Of Brian!
