|
I havent seen this forgotten realms series, could someone please tell me where it starts? Thanks.

None of those books ever seem to be availabe here in The Netherlands. I've been looking for R.A. Salvatore's Darkelf-trilogy for years now, either in English or translated to Dutch, but nothing... Nor any other books that are set in the Forgotten Realms.

That's great! Sea of the Swords and Elminster in Hell in paperback! You know, they are a bit expensive in the hardback edition so it's time for shopping!

I know the feeling, there's only one shop in my city that sells English Forgotten Realms books and they buy new ones maybe once every ten years... I'm not sure if it really STARTS anywhere, could someone who has read more of this than I do please help? |

Most of them sell lots of D&D stuff as well, and there's a big chance they will sell FR novels there. At the Eppo and the Atomik in Eindhoven they have plenty of those... And you could try to order them from the American Bookstore in Amsterdam, very big chance they will have them over there. Cheaper I think then ordering and importing them via Amazon. |

No, comic book stores in Leeuwarden (where I live) don't sell FR novels, but I'm gonna try the ones in Eindhoven or Amsterdam ASAP . |
Thanks for that guys, I will look at them next time I get to a bookshop.

It sucks that sea of swords isnt out till august.

I was just about to post somthing about The Hunters Blade trilogy. I am not sure if Larry has it in his "more detailed" post.
But anyhoo, its ganna be a new Drizzt book. Drizzt trilgoy I guess I should say. Not sure when its ganan be out but probley later in the year. Odd thing about it is, there is going to be No Wolfgar, No Catti-Bri, No Regis, No Brerour (sp). Will is be any good then? I think so, all R.A has to do is add other good characters. |

But your best bet (widest selection) would indeed be the ABC (one of my favourite bookstores). You could also try (english-language) bookmarkets, there are numerous people in Holland who will try and find a book for you even if they don't have it in stock. Also, De Slegte sometimes has second hand AD&D novels. Oh and *if* you visit Amsterdam, there's a great bookstore here that has a cellar full of 2nd hand fantasy novels, but I forgot its name. If you want to visit there PM me and I'll give you a route description. |
I don't think I'll be in Amsterdam anytime soon, just been there a week or so ago. But thanks anyway, I'll certainly keep it in mind.

Ahh, Elminster in Hell, I'm looking forward to that one ;) .
Thanks for the feedback, and its good to see that Forgotten Realms are still coming out with good books. |

Nice list Larry!
I can recomend people interested in the D&D books to visit www.Wizard.com and you can find out information of the books. Also you can see which serie it is in or a free book and so on.. :D |
Thanks Larry, that has really given me something to look forward to. I have so many of these books already and I've loved almost every one. I hope these will be just as good. Thanks again
