Weird! I released the Original June 6th, and here is the Patch, July 6th.. Spooky... (It wasn't planned that way)..

Ok, the Patch is 70mb compressed via RAR, and 200mb unpacked.
Grab it Here:

http://www.ironworksforum.com/efu/download.shtml

** You won't NEED the patch until 8pm tonight EST. It'll allow everyone to grab it and be ready. So you can still play without it until tonight.

I only have one link for now (Filefront is down for maint) but Dreamhost is good. If it's slow, don't worry, tonight it'll be mirrored to Filefront.

Read the Readme txt when you download it.

Now.... I can get back to MAKING levels and content in-game!

Not now.

Checking out the download now, Ziroc. If/when you have time, I need to bug you about some stuff. It's nothing that has to be taken care of right this second though. The download itself seems to be working rather smoothly. Smart thing releasing it long before it is actually required. If naught else, it gives those whom are home now a chance to play and/or download. As well, you may be able to find a few other servers that you can throw up the files to. Any luck getting the expansions hosted on NWVault.Ign.Com though? I find it surprising there's been no fortune there.

Got it, I hope.

Had to try a second time to get the files from Dreamhosts. The first time the "2 das" file didn't download for some reason.

The second time I think I got it all and the music files downloaded straight into my music directory. I hadn't expected that and had to check they were all there.

It seems that anyone downloading direct into the Hak file need not worry about transferring the music files manually.

Thanks for all the hard work Z and I'm really looking forward to the new content.

Ziroc 07-06-2006 09:57 PM

You only need to download the 1 patch file, not all the files again. Just wanna make that clear.

Yep, I'll have it on filefront in a few mins.

I Have waited to release it on IGN until I got the patch done. (IGN did give me a personal account via email, so I've talked with the great guy running the NWN IGN site!) He is awesome!

Cloudbringer 07-07-2006 08:42 AM

Got it last night! :D Just the patch2 file, so I hope that's all we needed! :D

Heh, dreamhost statistics to date from the release : 70.6GB of downloads since the new hak was uploaded - that's nearly 1.3GB per day of downloads.

Looks like someone out there likes your work Z ;)

Do you have any idea of the filefront stats? We could calculate your user base!

are you going to incorporate the patch into the main download for new users Z ?

Might make it a bit eaiser for the guys that want it in one file.

For the latest patch (which is still in preproduction), I have a few questions to ask. Now I know that it is at LEAST a month away if not more (which I can easily wait on). I just was curious about what is in the works for it, and what you know is going to be there (as you have completed them already)

- will there be new spells added to the module?
- shall there be (dare I say the word again) new henchmen? *blinkblinkblink*
- can we expect another store or two to open up inside of Waterdeep?
- at least one more level (which I believe you said you have been carving out for months)?
- a brand new snotty British dragon complete with accent, sneer, and voiced by Alan Rickman or Tim Curry? (yes, I know that's a far stretch, but I can dream)
- a new set of issues of PlayOrc magazine, along with its sister publications of PlayIllithid, TrollPassion, and everyone's favourite, Halaster's Harpies? *cackles with that one*
- shall Cloudbringer finally get her beloved souped up halberd for her druid?
- and finally, shall we finally see BUNNIES?!?

*MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!*
(now I need to go and find that thread on bunnies again...)

ROTFL WHAT! No Dragoncult magazine with the monthly "mistress of pain" centrefold

Oh bunnies!, now what was that BG2 spell with bunnies, horrid wilting and 6 billion hit points damage. Somebody call up Dundee Slaytern and ask.

Love the Idea of a Tim Curry dragon

Stonewarrior 08-28-2006 10:17 AM

Wellard - it was an option via the "Wish" spell. Though I never tried it, it did sound amusing. I am not sure how the bunnies get there...but the spell allows you to cast Horrid Wilting on EVERY creature in the area...maybe it summons hoards of bunnies first. lol

You're crazy. :D ;)

- shall Cloudbringer finally get her beloved souped up halberd for her druid?

Yep!

- and finally, shall we finally see BUNNIES?!? Nope Animation is too hard. Unless someone else makes it, I won't be in. Sorry man..

This patch is mainly some fixes, new portraits for NPC's and other small additions. (3 new tilesets) for underground and some new weapons you will like. Maybe some new monsters.

I'll post an update as soon as I get more of a list of things I'll be adding to it. My Sister is coming down to visit in a week, (surprise too!) so we'll be kinda busy that week. Other than that, I'm working on the new levels right now.

Cloudbringer 08-29-2006 08:31 AM

I still have to dl the revised portraits and add them... I have them from before you tinkered with them and Choc still shows up as a girl..... poor kitty! :D

Amazing amount of work, there Z! It's pretty awesome!
