My theif PC has just pulled of the heist of the century. She nicked Drizzt's sword!

Dron_Cah 09-30-2004 02:14 AM

Wow, haven't heard that one, before!
Funnier still, he didnt miss it, though it was in his hand!

Lemme guess, then Drizzt, noticing that you just nicked his sword, slashed you in two with his other one, or picked out his daggers and cut you into tiny chunks? :D

Next time take his pants too!

Nice job, DirtyMeg!

If you search the old posts, this neat little trick has been done before. If I remember correctly, it's possible because BG1 does not implement two-handed fighting style, so although Drizzt "dual-wields" his scimitars, one of them is actually carried in his inventory so it's pick-pocket-able.

Still, it's a very nice heist! I imagine that you would need to have a great pick-pocket score. For the benefit of others who would try such a dastardly deed, how many points did you have in pickpocketing, and did you drink potions?

Only 50ish points. No potions.

RoSs_bg2_rox 09-30-2004 12:42 PM

what? Are you sure about that? 50points. Everyone else who does it uses potions to get well over 100.

cosmo 09-30-2004 03:25 PM

Can be done at that number, I did around 45 no potions, but you must have a great die roll as the percentage chance is very slim.

Dron_Cah 09-30-2004 05:39 PM

i've done at 25, so, yeah, its possible. ;)

I stole both Elminster and his hat.

Neo the Warrior Cat 10-03-2004 02:06 PM

How did you do that???

ElfBane 10-04-2004 02:43 PM

Dirty Meg, are you planning on exporting your character to SoA? If so, you will get a surprise, because Drizzt is in that game too. And he will remember!!

I am, and I know. Fortunately, by that time, my party will be strong enough to hack Drizzt to pieces.

Then you need to become a moderator, so you can do it yourself, because I'm not. That is an Easter Egg and not a plot spoiler.

Drizzt is an Easter Egg?

Illumina Drathiran'ar 10-05-2004 09:53 AM

I still think it's considerate to put a spoiler tag when giving away secrets, especially when they pertain to a different game than the board being posted on (eg, ToB secrets in the SoA board. Suit yourself, though.
