Version 1.4.2c | Jan 10, 2005

This is part one of a five part 'mega' Update, and adds MANY new areas, items, NPC's Henchmen and loads more. In this update, Waterdeep is 15 times bigger, and other stuff is changed--I'll let YOU find it! [img]smile.gif[/img] Plus, in this update as well, I added the CEP Crafting option for all to use!!

In the next update, all the other shops will open, trollbark gets a swamp, and Khelben's Tower is finished as well as more new levels. After all five updates are complete, we're talking 4 major new levels (huge ones) and 25 small ones.

Check it out, it's been uploaded and is ready for playing! Let me know what you think of the new changes and additions!

Just did a little run around Waterdeep and the sewer (didn't get too far) and it's beautiful! Very VERY nicely put together. Gorgeous town and I can't wait til the shops and things open!

Well I checked out waterdeep and im IMPRESSED!

I love the new sewers and the fact that Durnan no longer has a sewer hole in one of his rooms (Guests were complaining about the smell)

Waterdeep is awsome and I can't wait to explore some of the other buildings!

It always has, and hey Rattler, your in my home town! Well, actually, no, but the town I live in anyway, Z's closer to my home town.

Yeah, now the layout actually makes sense, and you can get to Undermountain from the Waterdeep sewers in the box set as well! So it's now correct.

I'm almost done with the shops--there's a load of em, and when I release it, Durnan's entire Conversation set will change. [img]smile.gif[/img]

WOO HOO new set items as well. I really like that waterdeep set helmet. VERY Nice :D

I finally got around to going there tonight, and all I can say is wow, large update indeed [img]smile.gif[/img] can not wait to spend more time there, only had a short run around waterdeep and the sewers and back.

EDIT: is anyone else having some problems accessing the waterdeep docks ?

what is happening is I leave the inn and the Waterdeep docks take ages to load then I get booted back to the desktop.

I've only been able to get there once and that was after 3 tried at getting to waterdeep.

I think the area is taking ages to load up and my connection is timming out.

No problems here, and I've been watching folks go in and out tonight.. mabe your inet connection is having a high ping?

Yeah it could be. I will investigate further on my end and see what happens. I'm changing to another ISP (going from Wireless back to ADSL) so hopefully that is the cause.

Did you try a reboot and see if that fixed it? One time, that happened to me long ago on efu..

Yeah it happened on two consecutive nights.

The first night it took me three go's to get to waterdeep. Once I got there it was fine (I could go in and out of the sewers)

The next night it kept dropping me out with out an error message.

I really think its my end. Im not going to be able to get to much play time until I get my new ADSL line put in at the new house (1500/256K 15Gig Download FREE 4 PORT ROUTER (Speed throttled to 64K after 15GB) $49.95AUD per month

Should be better than my 256kb wireless connection I have now.

I really think its the size of the area thats being downloaded and my connection is timing out. I have no problems with any other area in undermountain.

BTW, go to dos and do a tracert to ironworksforum.com and let me know what the pings are to me. If they go above 400, that is BAD. I called my cablemodem people to come out to look at the lines just incase. lol! I had a slow down the other day (peak) and a RR midserver 2 hops from me was having 1000 pings, making surfing for me slow as hell. dunno if that caused it.

I will test it when I get home.

I will be testing from my Wireless connection(which I think is the problem).

I tried, but mine are timing out :( I'm not sure whether its a service I've disabled on my computer or if the university network is blocking me from sending them out. Sorry!

A tracert from dnsstuff.com gets as far as bb1-dls-P2-0.atdn.net. and then says "4 hops with no response; assuming we hit a firewall that blocks pings"

Yeah, it's timing out because it's hitting either RR's firewall nodes or mine. even such as cnn.com will time out, or not let you see the last IP. It's normal. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I had to re-install NWN on my computer. My wife found the computer running slow so she saved her stuff and reformatted the C: partition. *sigh*

By the way, it took me 3 tries to download the efu_extrahak pak. It kept hanging on me :( . By the time I had finished it was time to pick up my youngest son from the bus stop.

I will try to check out Waterdeep tomorrow...

I checked out Waterdeep this morning and I was surprized to see how big it is. Ziroc, when do you find time to sleep when you are putting this much detail into your mod?

I took a short trip to the Haunted Isle. "The scarriest place on the Sword Coast" is not a place for beginners but my (Clvl 16) dwarven tank can't wait to get back- he gained two level there ;) .

By the way, I am surprized the Xanthar Thieves can actually hit my character. The log says (10+27=37 :hit ) but my dwarf has an AC of 42. Hmmm... maybe he was caught flat-footed? I will try again now that my character is a second level Dwarven Defender (should not be caught flat-footed).

And to think this is just part one...

Only had a few minutes to check it out, but it bests any commercial (read XP1 and XP2) expansions out there.

You really need to go commercial with this.
