I've been getting a bug lately where I open a chest or other container (not ones in my inventory) and when it opens my inventory it's blank, my weight is the same, and when I pick up items it sorts them into the right place, and when I close the container my equipped items area is blank as well, but I have to manually close the inventory and reopen it to see what's in there, like I said, a strange bug, but it doesn't really affect the game so I'm not all that worried about fixing it.

anyone else heard of this bug?

Stratos 09-25-2003 10:18 AM

I get this one as well. The items are simply not shown in your inventory, you can't place items you've found over any space occupied by another items even if you don't see them.

It's basically the inventory screen lagging, I believe. It usually happens in well-populated or active areas, or at any time you're experiencing lag really.

Sometimes its lag, sometimes the inentory will never become visible. The fix is to restart the game.

Ive had this one too. Ive learned to play around the bugs in NwN untill i lost all my saved games. I havent played since...big waste of money in my point of view the patches didnt even seem to fix all of the bugs in this game.

Granamere 09-25-2003 07:18 PM

Most of the time if you just close your inventory and reopen it that fixes the problem. Maybe the next patch will fix it.

Me too! I had the same problem as yours. Just save your game and re-load it. It should solve the problem.

This is simply a lag issue, regardless of patching lag is something we all have to live with. If the inven. screen is blank then you simply wait until the lag clears so the system can then read your inven and show it to you. It also happens in conversation boxes under severe lag, these boxes appear blank for a few seconds until the text eventually shows up.

Granamere 09-30-2003 03:44 PM

I wish it was a lag issuse but this happens in single player.

Then there is two seperate issues, although I have never experienced this in single player.

Luvian 09-30-2003 05:46 PM

I have experienced lag in singleplayer.

In port Llast, when I talk to someone inside the town but outside the buildings, like the mage and the peasents, it take about 6-7 seconds for each chat screen to appear. It's very annoying.

It's because there are too many scripts and tings happening there and my computer is having a hard time. It's not internet lag, it's performance lag.

Right, but I know that you are running a slower system so from many Onheartbeat like scripts you would at times experience processor or video lag. I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug at all or if Morgeruat simply has a slower system also. Since I also know Granamere is running a high-end system like myself and he's experienced it then it may well be a bug I have yet to experience. Hey, I'm just glad they seem to have fixed the damn XP bug .

andrewas 09-30-2003 06:05 PM

I get this fairly often, and Im running an Athlon 2600XP so I doubt its lack of processing power. Seems to have started with the 1.30 patch and I havent yet had it with the 1.32 patch (not that Ive played much with the 1.32 patch)

The more people who report this bug to Bioware the greater the chance that it will be seen to.

Chewbacca 10-02-2003 03:07 AM

I get this occassionally too. Usually I just re-open the inventory screen or click on a page tab and it goes away. No biggie.

Anybody know the NWN bug report email address? I can't seem to find it on the official site. I know it is there somewhere, but maybe I am overlooking the obvious.

Granamere 10-02-2003 08:35 AM

Yikes! It looks like it has been removed from the website. I could not find it at all either. It is / was nwbugs@bioware.com. Warning when last I reported a bug I received a canned e-mail that needs help. It is posted below. Please read it so you can know what info you need to send with the bug report.
