Hi,
I have some questions about the following objects:

1. Gems- do I simply sell them (except diamonds, gems with spells).

2. I have a "Great Axe", but in it's description it says, "Motch missing from its blade"- it's worth nothing, so, do I give it to someone?

3. The corpse hand- what do I do with it?

4. Prison Blossom Seed- is this used for something in Neverwinter Woods- to calm the Spirits? If not, what's it for?

Thanks!

Let's see how good my memory is...

1. Sell any and all that you can find. It's a great way to keep the bankroll on the increase. I don't really remember any that were used for anything in particular, so sell away!

2. Don't remember needing an axe for anything either. If you're going to sell it, I'd save the game first, so in case you need it, you can go back and reload.

3. Don't remember what that one's for.

4. Drawing a blank on that too.

Oh well, 2 outta 4 ain't bad. ;)

1- sell em unless they are given to you by a henchmen or they are specifically related to a quest, except for quartz. Quartz can be useful in making items at the forge and in chapter two for bartering with Eltoona. If it normal run of the mill gems, sell them for the gold.

2, 3, 4- Keep these items if you are still in chapter two and you did all the henchmen quests in chapter one. One of the henchman will be interested in each it as they pertain to their individual stories. I'll spoil ya more here if you want.

Wolf Blade 09-08-2003 08:12 PM

Spoil me away, LOL- I just wanna know how to get the other 3 items used (and with what henchmen), so, go ahead!!! :D

The axe is for Dalen the Barbarian, the corpsehand is for Grimnaw the Monk, and the prism seeds are for Boddynock the Sorcerer.

Wolf Blade 09-09-2003 05:39 PM

Thanks! :D

Hey, what do ya know? I got some more questions- I figured I should post them in this same topic.

1. What's the "Star of Calimshan" all about?

2. Wavnev's Gem- whats that all about?

3. Yesgar's Key- was that used to open the door to save the mayor's daughter?

4. I found a "Lock of nymph's hair"- anything I should know about that?

Louis de Lioncourt 09-10-2003 11:24 PM

Hey man, you should talk to your hirelings more often. They say what you have to do. The wanevs gem is another thing. You should talk to an elf in portland, he is gong to give you this quest to find three gems for him, wanev's is one of the gems.

The star of calisham is for tomy undergalous.
The nymph's hair is for sharwin, I think.

shadowolf03 09-11-2003 12:58 PM

Hey, hey hey....what's this about the mayor's daughter? I must have skipped that....

After you return the FOURTH ear of the escaped convict, the mayor will not only tell you the location of the FINAL convict, but will also ask you to rescue his daughter who has been "abducted" by the last escaped prisoner.

I don't like hiring henchmen- I'm a loner :D

Anyways, whats Yesgar's Key for? Opening the door to save the daughter? Yes, No- then what's it for?

Yes, that is its only use. You do know you can "hire" the henchmen and run through the conversation a few times to get the quest items and xp right?

Wolf Blade 09-12-2003 04:29 PM

I tried hireing some henchmen, but, right before they tell me what they're after, they say something like "Nows not the time, we should get going"- I think its becuase I should adventure with them a while, which I don't want to do, LOL

Actually you dont need to travel with them at all. There story opens up more each level you go up. You need to go up three levels (iirc) from the first time you speak with them to get the whole story and find out what item they are looking for. The items they give you as rewards is well worth it IMO.

Wolf Blade 09-12-2003 04:42 PM

Great! I'll talk with every henchmen available, and after 3 levels, come back, listen to what they want, and then give the item to them! Cool, thanks :D

Doh, I forgot...If you didnt do the henchman quests in chapter one you cant get them the rest of the game. Sorry if I got your hopes up, but if you are doing chapter two already you are SOL this game. Sorry :( !

Wolf Blade 09-12-2003 04:55 PM

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! LOL, oh well, doesn't bother me too much. If at all, I could just use the tool kit, make a module, and get the any item in the game (I won't do that since thats cheating though, :D )

Well, if you know, what were the items the henchmen would give you?

Each henchman gives an item that is useful to their class and boosts an ability score. Each chapter you get an improved version of the same item.

Tomi's is the ring of the rouge and you get a + to dex for example. I dont recall all the items but Gamefaqs has some excellent walkthroughs and items lists that should have the particulars of each.

Louis de Lioncourt 09-13-2003 02:36 AM

Tomi's +dext and skills open locks and disable traps i guess
Monk's +const and spell resist
Linu's darkvision and + dext
Orc fighter +strenght imune to fear
Boodyknock +charisma and regenaration
Sharwin +charisma and persuade and perform

Wolf Blade 09-13-2003 12:36 PM

Well, if I get better items of the items they would've given me, I guess I made out ok- lost some EXP points, maybe some gold, but, oh well.

Each of the items give at least +4 to an attribute. They are nice, but not vital.

Well, I can still find them sooner or later can't I? Or maybe even better versions?

Wolf Blade 09-15-2003 07:23 PM

Well then, I guess I'll just make a module and put every item in the game on the ground, and get the item :D - but it won't come to that- thanks for the help!
