Well, I just put up a quick thread to see if anyone wanted to take one, but didn't really get any responses...so I went ahead and made the quiz anyway . I had some questions that I had gathered before, and I went and gathered some more now. I will post the questions and their point value here. If you want to take the test, please don't post your answers here, instead, PM them to me and I will grade them. For simplicity's sake, I pretty much used the same format as Six's BG2 quizzes. Also, any question in red will result in a loss of 1 point if you answer incorrectly, but will result in no loss if you leave the answer blank.
BG1 TRIVIA QUESTIONS!!! Part 1: Name that NPC! 1) Name 3 assassins that drop a bounty notice for your PC character when you kill them (1 point each). 2) Who is the thief at High Hedge that wants to rob Thalantyr? (1 point for his first name, 1 point for his last name) Part 2: True or False? 11) Mulahey mistakens you as a messenger from Tazok at first (1 point). 12 Quenash will give you the Cloak of Balduran if you simply describe what Vail looks like. (+3 points) ToTSC Bonus: What item must you forge to strike the gong in Durlag's Tower? Congratulations on finishing the test! The test is worth 100 points, making the total possible points 103 if you answered everything correctly along with the extra credit! Here are the rankings: Noober (0-8) Minsc (9-15) Mulahey (16-21) Berrun Ghastkill (22-28) Tranzig (29-35) Tazok (36-42) Duke Eltan (43-49) Davaeorn (50-56) Rieltar (57-63) Drizzt (64-70) Sarevok (71-77) Ulraunt (78-84) Tethoril (85-92) Elminster (93-99) Cyric (100-102) Bhaal (103) The answers won't be post till some people actually take the test ;) Edit: Changed a few typo errors that Six pointed out, and I also switched Elminster with Cyric as Six pointed out that a God should be above the wizard. I also made another question where if you get it wrong, you lose points. (Six, don't worry about it on your quiz, I made sure it's one that you got right or left blank). Whew! Talk about a trip down memory lane....but I still got it, baby! Ooooh yeah! (waits patiently for Pirengle to sail in and take the high score)

SixOfSpades: Tethoril (89 points) Nice job! Edit: And Six, about your comment on using Skie in #15, I actually never used her before. I finished the quiz and was not only short of 100 by 2 points, but I also felt like I needed another True or False question, so I pulled that one off of a walkthrough ;) . You also mispelled some guys, and I gave you credit for most of them (all but one I think), but for the guy whose name completely changed, you didn't get credit... C'mon guys, doesn't anybody want to take this quiz? I interrested to see how much the other players know about the game ;)
|
cool, I havent been here for a couple of days. I dont have time to take the quiz right now but give me a few hours and Il take it!
|
ok Lord heres the bad news: I did the quiz (spending at least an hour on it, brilliant quiz, really mind boggiling) but anyway, I had 2 questions left to answer and then I got a microsoft error report which closed down the window!!! so at present I cant be bothered to do it again (it took ages) so maybe in a day or so.
|
It was hard all around....most of them where that i just couldnt think of there names! K well i did not even put the numbers down on the ones i didn kno is that ok?
|
a quick question Lord, you know the red questions, if you do not answer those do u lose a mark?? ( I think I didnt get one of them so Im gona rack my brains for it!! And by the way Il have my entry in tomorow after the annoying time last time Im gona do it on word and copy it over to make sure nothing goes wrong!)
|
Just remembered why Pirengle hasn't popped in: She said that she'd be losing her Internet access arount Nov. 20th. Poopie! Hope she gets it back sometime soon, I need somebody to knock me off my perch.
|
*takes the quiz*
It took me an hour with two disconnects. Nice quiz, Lord! :D PS: I think Elminster rates over Cyric. [ 11-25-2003, 10:10 PM: Message edited by: Pirengle ] |
Sorry I didn't grade them yet, I was away for a bit. I'll get to grading them now and list all the scores ;)
Edit: and Six, Pirengle has now taken the test, I'll see what she got. And Ross, you lose 1 point if you answer the questions marked in red incorrectly. If left blank, you lose no points. [ 11-26-2003, 03:39 PM: Message edited by: Lord ] |
New Update:
SixOfSpades: Tethoril (89 points) Ryaldin: Sarevok (74 points) Pirengle: Sarevok (74 points) Dar'tanian: Berrun Ghastkill (28 points) Wow, Pirengle and Ryaldin tied! Ryaldin, you gave 2 answers for some of the matching questions, and all but one were wrong. The one that you didn't get wrong necessarily was for Ardenor Crush. You have 2 for him, and one of them was right, while the other wasn't. So I gave you 1 point for it instead of 2, although I see where you got the idea that there were 2 possible answers for him. Dar'tanian, what hurt your score was that you left most of the answers blank, even many of the matching and multiple choice. It would have been worth a shot to guess some of them at least since that way, there's a chance you could get them right. Ryaldin, you skipped some of those too. Nice job guys! |
I knew I would do bad....But my party could still beat all yours!!!

Ryaldin: Sarevok (74 points) Pirengle: Sarevok (74 points) NiceWorg: Duke Eltan (44 points) [b]Dar'tanian: Berrun Ghastkill (28 points) Who is the next victim? |
sorry Lord I didnt have time to send it last night, Il definately send it tonight!
|
Whew, I thought for sure that a standard rating of Minsc would be following my name.
Lord, I know I double answered on many of them, but I wasn't entirely sure if I was supposed to answer the general organization they belonged to, or the specific narrow one. I got all of the matching wrong?!? and still got 74??? are you sure? I'm pretty confident in my answers for khalid and jaheira... |
ok Lord, I've sent it, tell me how i did??
|
I've also pm-ed you my answers

I'm not ashamed. I'm beta testing something for BG2. I haven't played BG1 since August. And Sarevok rules.

Corious people wants to know |
It's Sim's Virtue mod for BG2. The mod's creators felt that Reputation wasn't realistic enough; a party full of SOBs can still have a high reputation. So the mod creators added a new stat, Virtue. Under this mod, reputation no longer matters--evil characters can stay in a party with 20 rep, etc--but truly good deeds are rewarded with Virtue points, on a scale from 1 to 20, and they're not as easy to get as you might think. ;) And truly blessed or henious acts can even change your alignment. I'm testing the mod with an evil party with a Virtue of 6. Pop on over to http://forums.forgottenwars.net and check out the House of Sim to find out more. (Don't want to do major spoils on the BG1 board.)
So yeah, it's not another NPC or trinket-laden Weimerized slaughterfest. It's a cute little mod in the same vein as Oversight and Unfinished Business, designed to make the game more detailed. |

Dace said on the 4th to wait a week, which would mean 3 more days. Can you guys wait the 3 days out, or do you really want the answers that badly?
|
Lord, post 'em. We've had forever. If people haven't sent 'em in yet, too bad.
(Full steam ahead into exam week--I'd love to see my answers on something. But even my A on my Grammar paper can't beat Sarevok! :D ) |
