I guess tecnically this is a spoiler, but I though it was pretty nifty...

I was walking around Nashkel and that noober guy was following me. "what about now." I'm sure everybody's met him. I usually just kill him because he's annoying but for some reason I was feeling nice and I let him follow me around everywhere. Finally he said, "Wow, you're really patient, I don't have anything else to say." or something like that. Then I got 400 xp. just thought i'd tell you all.
...noober is good for something

Faceman 09-22-2003 05:21 PM

Why would anybody kill Noober :(
He's just an innocent guy with too much time on his hands.

Maj 09-22-2003 07:56 PM

He didn't give you any "rocks"? I remember him giving me some "rocks".

Firestormalpha 09-22-2003 09:19 PM

Yup, free sling ammo for listening to him. Only evil party's should kill him. Neutral and chaotic can wait til after the talking experience. It's kinda befitting their nature. Seem patient then kill for no reason.

shadowhound 09-23-2003 02:34 AM

I just met him for the first time (Can't believe it took me this long to get my hands on this game) and... well.. it kinda ended in violence, kinda.

InsaneBane 09-23-2003 03:17 AM

The first time I met Noober I knocked him down with my bare hands. After that I got more patient (and spoiled) and now I wait for the 400XP ;)

Free sling ammo?? I don't think I ever got that.

IIRC the "rocks" are given in BG2

He's not joking at all InsaneBane, it is indeed Neeber that will give you some "rocks" in BG2.

It would be a grand idea to make a mod with a recruitable Neeber or something ;) Give him the portrait of Coran or something, and a good voice pack and some decent dialogues Would be fun!

His constant questions would cast confusion on all enemies and eventually make them kill themselves.
Biography
When asked about his past, Noober asks "What about now?" You turn your head away, disgusted. ;)

Relative.

It's actually mentioned in Neeber's dialogue.

Maj 09-24-2003 03:03 AM

BG2 eh? Oops I'm sorry. I could've sworn it was the first one. I play too much BG! Now I'm all mixed up. Oh well, so do you get xp. in BG2 also or just the bullets?

Or your rock throwing abilities, whichever.

I've actually always let Noober live. And where is this Neeber in BG2, I have never met him, and I've been through the game many times. I need some sling practice on him :D

<font size=4>The Noober Club</font>

List of members:

[*] You may ask the same question over and over again.
[*] You must NOT live in a glass house.
[*] You must always carry a supply of rocks in your pockets.
[*] You must be a pain in the (the thing you sit on) to others.
[*] You are able to be promoted (by following the rules above) from Noober to trained Noober, experienced Noober, Advanced Noober, Expert Noober and finally Perfect Noober.
[*] An outsider that wants to join the club is considered on probation until he learns the secret code.
[*] Once an outsider (or member on probation) knows the secret code, he/she is considered a member of the club.

Suggestions from other members for other rules are welcome.

A Noober club? I snort at you. See? Hear me snort? SNORT!

I laugh at your club, and walk away nervously before you can initiate diologue ;)

I move that an Anti-Noober be formed, with only harmful intentions towards Noober and, to a lesser extent, Neeber.

InsaneBane 09-30-2003 04:55 AM

As a spokesman for the Nober club I will proudly announce that:

RoSs_bg2_rox is now on probation to become a full member (as he doesn't yet know the secret code )

CheeseMan is now promoted to 'Noober' and is considered a full member of this high esteemed club.

Crud, just realized that's on the BG2 forum.
Umm Z or Memnoch whoever's the least busy, please throw some rocks at these Noober wannabe's. Pretty please?

Dragonshadow 10-01-2003 08:28 AM

What have you lot got against us Nooberites? We're really nice people. Just with too much spare time onour hands, that's all.

Firestormalpha 10-01-2003 10:28 AM

Dragonshadow, try again, that was way too articulate for a true nooberite statement. The correct statement would have fallen along the lines of asking "why?" repeatedly.
