what would you have them do and what would be there proficiency?
|
Hmm...I would say Neeber/Noober. Unarmed attack, can cause opponent to go berserk 75% of the time. Wielding daggers and darts, annoying things. :D
|
Moosey, try using darts or throwing daggers with a Kensai.
|
Hmm, the Noober thing sounds interresting. And since he's had so many rocks thrown at him, that class would be immune to missile weapons, or have a large armor adjustment to missile weapons :D .
|
Yeah, lol, that would be an...interesting class. We could get some unique dialogue choices...although it might screw up the plot a bit. Would Gorion want to take you anywhere?
And kensai's can't use darts, Pyrenk, as they have no melee component, IIRC. ;) |
Oh, yeah. They're still extremely effective with throwing knives
|
No doubt Sythe would like to create some sort of kobold class.

I want Winged Elf!
-- may use "joy" ability once per day per 4 levels. the joyous state lasts for 60 seconds; while joyous: immue to all psionic attacks and mental effects (note, winged Elf joy will affect the whole party, making the whole party immue to or be cured from psionic effects). however, if their wings get hurt, they will whine the party to death until the wings fully healed, which need to rest 24 hours ....... I've got good dialogue options for the noobers: "Heya" "Heya" "How bout now?" "Now?" "Gee you're patient" "Are you gonna throw rocks at me?" Ok, enough with insulting noober, here would be his real dialogue options: "Heya" "Feel my wrath as you witness...the revenge of the nerd!!!...er, the revenge of noober!!!" :D A bit of Drizzt here: "Tis your rocks to waste" And he needs scripts to speak with his party members, like the NPCs do in BG2 and ToB: Noober: Wow, I'm surprised you all stayed with me all the way. I've never talked to anyone this long before. Edwin whispers to Jaheira: Just 1 lighting bolt, just 1. Jaheira whispers back to Edwin: Tis for the greater balance of nature. Go ahead. *Edwin strikes Noober with a lightning bolt, and Noober 'valiantly falls in battle.' That should be the dialogue after 2 minutes of gameplay. Yes, that's right, they last a whopping, record setting 2 minutes with Noober |
What about a witch:
Must be a female. Min. CHA 16, Min Int 9, Min Wis 9 Able to cast cleric spells (only those that can be cast on an opponent by touch or range 1) Able to cast mage spells (only those that can be cast on an opponent by touch or range 1) Special spells: Poison weapon (poisoned for 1d4+1 pr. lvl attacks), fly (move at double speed for 1 round pr lvl. cannot attack or be attacked). HP, TACHO, Proficiencies: as a cleric Weapons: Staff, Powders, darts New weapon class only usable by the witch: Powders (of blinding, sneezing, itching, smelling, burning) Special abilities: summon black cats and charm. The witch saves with a bonus of +4 to mind influencing spells. Opponents saves vs. mind influencing spells with a penalty of -2 if they are males. Are able to transform to a black cat (and back again) at will Black cat: double movement, cannot cast spells, 2 attacks pr. round of 1d1 (paws) or 1 attack of 1d3 (bite), +4 to all AC and saves to magic attacks that can be dodged. Tactics: Run up to an opponent and cast spells, run away as a black cat. Insane |

I suppose Ziroc would be second-in-command? :D
It's bow to the meow, btw. Taste your poison |

Actually I have been thinking some time about writing a mod that would ease some of the Racial and multiclass restrictions I consider unfair.
I originally had BG2 in mind, but of course it is just as relevant for BG1: Ranger: Halflings, dwarwes, elves and gnomes can now be rangers. Ranger/cleric is still the only allowable ranger multi. Paladin: Half-elves and half-orcs can now be paladins too (they need to be at least half human). Still no paladin multiclasses. Paladinhood requires 100% dedication! Mage: Half-orcs can now be multiclass but not singleclass mages. There is nothing keeping half-orcs from using arcane magic, but they don't possess the determination to be full-time mages. Bards: Elves and gnomes can be bards. Multiclass: All multiclass combinations of the four "base" classes (fighter, thief, cleric and mage) are possible as long as the species is allowed to be all classes. |
Hmm. I like most of the ideas, but I'm unsure of using a dwarf as a ranger. They're not exactly outdoorsmen, and they seem to like the inside of cities and caverns much more than the outdoors.

I agree with moose. I mean, they usually live under mountains, which cant teach them much about the wilderness, but i guess it could happen if they lived on the mountainside or somthing.
|
Hmm... perhaps the option to create a multi-class fallen paladin? or the option to dual class a paladin so long as it is fallen, with the stipulation that once such a change has ocurred one may not redeem their paladin status.
|
A cross between a "kenasi" and a "bladesinger" would be cool. (bladesinger being a fighter/mage kit - elves only ;) ).

Stealth is different; it's just hiding. Mountains don't make better shadows than trees...just larger ones :D

Class: The underdog
Races: Kobold only Stats req.: INT, WIS and CHA equal to or below 3 special abilities: Kangaroo jump (no bonuses or penalties - just to irritate the opponents) Strange sounds (bonus/penalty: See Kangaroo jump) Forget spell (automatically cast if the kobold is slain - makes the opponent forget how he killed the kobold, leaving him/her with almost no gained (battle) experience) ;) Quote:

Maybe some sort of 'Neo' class?
-Very skilled in unarmed combat & Can kill with fists (Not just knock-out) -May use 'Focus' once per day: Increase dexterity and constitution. -May not wear any armour including helmets except Leather armour. -Might need to make a new type of weapon: iron bar ?? -Acurrate with pistol (Not a weapon, but just wondering if Faerun have discovered gunpowder?) -May cast Haste once per day. -Weak vs elements eg. fire, cold. |

There is no need to create a new class... I just want to be a dragon and that is good enough ;)

Like the DM use to say: OK I will allow that in my game, just as long as the monsters also can have the same type of equipment.

You know what my friend, that character of yours is so grotesquely overpowered it is hard to take serious.

The first monster he mets in the campaign would be a Chaotic evil killer rabbit with the stats: 25 25 25 25 25 30 (it is soo cute ;) ) Having the powers: -Sound of death (if you hear it you have to save versus death (-20 penalty) or be slain) -Look of death (if you see it you have to save versus death (-20 penalty) or be slain) -Smell of death (if you smell it you have to save versus death (-20 penalty) or be slain) (I once had such a pair of socks) -Feel of death (if you touch it you have to save versus death (-20 penalty) or be slain) It will be wearing a special rabbit fur armor (AC -20, +20 to all saves) and a special rabbit foot (actually it wears 4 of them), that gives so much luck, that it cannot be surprised and will always attack first in any round. It will also wear the most feared weapon: The 'rabbit bite' (+20 to attack/dmg, penetrates any armour, any human or dragon opponent is automatically slain). Overpowered? Insane BTW: This is only the rabbits. Wait until you see the wolves ;) |
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggghhhht...
Moiraine Sedai |
This "Neo" character is exactly like the monk in BG2. Hand to hand master can't wear armour or use weapons without penalties, has some cool hand to had moves like quivering palm.
