Getting a tad impatient are we?

So far, I haven't heard that anyone has actually been selected. The registration just opened on Monday I think. They may still be sifting through all the HORDES of requests that they got.

in what form would the acceptance be?
it wouldn't by any chance be an automatic acceptance for betatesting. a web addy and a password would it?

Witout actually seeing it I can not tell, BUT when I first went to that website, I had to register, fill out a questionaire, and then I got an automated reply that read:

Welcome to the Infogrames Betatesting System!

Thank you for submitting your application to become a participant for Infogrames Betatests.

Your registration has been automatically accepted on the site and below is your account information: (rest of text deleted for obvious reasons)

After that I went back to the site, logged in using the password provided, and THEN a screen came up where I can actually REQUEST to be included in the beta test for NWN.

Be Patient!!! lol Those guys are probably FLOODED with requests and it's going to take a little time for them to sort thru the MYRIAD of applicants and build the beta testing teams! There are likely to be SEVERAL teams put together to test various aspects of the game, so just because you hear that someone else got on a team doesn't mean that you won't.

Anyone that is picked to try out the Betatest will have to sign a NDA, and it says that you can't say ANYTHING at all, even on any forum.

The beta is only on the 'game' part. not the editor or anything else like that. Multiplayer is a part of the test as well I believe.

OK I did the app thing then used their password and went to the site and selected NW to test yesterday. When I went back today it showed NW as an Assingment so I guess I am in. However I have not heard anything else accept for it being listed as an assignment.

on the other point guys, yeah!, i did the register bit too, with the password and email an' all, but did you all read the official post about filing in ALL the fields on the survey or you'll get an email back saying everything is aokay when in reality there is no account, hence no request set up.

I think this just shows that you have requested to be on that assignment but have yet to be accpted...mine said the same thing.

I read somewhere that on Monday alone they had 37,000 requests for beta testing and they're only going to use 250 people...so I think they have more than enough...I hope I'm number 250 and not 251. :)

Actually, it first listed it under current requests pending then it switched to listing it current Betatesting assignments.

Nice...if thats true than there are alot of people who envy you...including me. I'm still listed under requested assignments, maybe I'll be upgraded soon. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Ziroc is right! Even stating on a forum that you DID get accepted for the beta test is a violation of the Non Disclosure agreement and grounds for removal from the beta test! (Derek French of Bioware posted a warning to this effect in the Bioware Forums.)

According to Derek, NO ONE has been accepted into the beta test yet.

If there are only going to be 250 beta testers what was the point of me registering then? I can't even begin to think how many people registered. You could go to any NWN site and see.... "register here!" "and here!" "and here!" *sigh*

RBF, First of all, who KNEW that that many people were going to register. Secondly, My guess (and its ONLY a guess) that a large percentage of people are going to be rejected because of machine specs AND age! The NDA is a binding legal contract, so I would bet that anyone under the age of 18 will NOT be selected to avoid any possible legal issues.

I am sure they wil lalso be taking a cross sampling of people based on age sex education location experence with different rpgs and such

i'm guessing they'll take experienced players with a variety of hardware, old and new.....
