My group was (I'm playing BG2) formed by me (really ??????), Minsc, Coran, Ajantis, Branwen and Dynaheir. (yes, I didn't have Imoen in my group... she died "exploding, and reloding was too far from where I were).

Defeating Sarevok with no fallen members is pretty good! I always have the same group though, consisting of Imoen, Minsc, Jaheira, Khalid, and Dynaheir. I like it because I get them in my group early enough to have them level up and get nice items before I sell 'em. But I'm thinking of replacing Imoen with Ajantis, as im a thief. . .

Myself: Mage/thief (a BIG mistake which I'll never make again).
Minsc: Good old Minsc. He might be in my party next time as well.
Khalid: Ohh dear!! Huge mistake.
Jaheira: Ohh dear!! Huge mistake.
Branwen: She's pretty good. She'll be replaced next time around.
Kivan: Excellent. Will be in the party next time without doubt.

Don't know if I'll finish the game with my current character and party.

I'll start a new game soon and might play as a fighter.

They're going great! I'd never used any of them before except as stop-gaps until I got the people I wanted so it's nice and different [img]smile.gif[/img]

My nigh-unstoppable group consists of: my elven fighter/thief. :D

My favorite party has to be the traditional. Me (dwarf fighter), Imoen (dualled at level 4 with maxed out traps), Khalid, Jaheira, Minsc and Dynaheir.

<font color = lightgreen>Besides Malekith (a neutral evil cleric/mage), I am currently employing:
Minsc (an excellent fighter)
Shar-Teel (very deadly with missile weapons)
Branwen (handy cleric)
Viconia (another handy cleric, and Attalus' favorite)
and...
<font color = orchid>Safana</font> (when she's good she's very, very good...but when she's bad she's better [img]graemlins/beigesmilewinkgrin.gif[/img] )

In fact, I drop Imoen in lieu of Safana as soon as possible (many apoligies to <font color = pink>Galadria</font>).</font>

I agree wholeheartedly with the "Kivan = Archer" move, as he and Coran need some more difference between them. (Was Coran made less of a bowman in BGT?)

But I just can't see Xan as a Wild Mage--what was wrong with Enchanter? Sure, he's not likely to go around Charming anyone in the game with his Gloom & Doom attitude, but I personally found his attitude to be LOADS of fun. And it makes a lot more sense than a Lawful Neutral Wild Mage.

I don't think you can take Korgan until the BG2 section of the game. I'd take Korgan over Kagain any day though (better strength, less annoying, more fun)! :D

I changed Xan to a wild mage simply because ive used him to the point where im completely FED UP with enchanters. i thought wild mage might be cool in BG1, and since its the only mage kit i havent tried, i thought "what the hell!". its just to spice up the game.

edit: i would have changed Branwen to a priest of helm, but that would make Tempus mad [img]smile.gif[/img] . and i just cant really see imoen as an assassin(or any of the other thief kits)...she just has the kind of innocent thief-feel that a specialized thief wouldnt have...
