While this is the second thread, there have been a number of rounds of questions. And since Pop 'N Fresh's question seems to be unlimited, while that finishes up in the other thread I thought I'd offer up a new question.

Specifically, how many accessible hidden areas are there in the game? And as a follow-on question, in which areas is there something useful? "Useful" means a critter, a treasure, or something else.

As before, try not to spoil for anyone else.

Wyvern 02-28-2005 10:20 AM

hmmmm I may want a clarification for what you consider "hidden".

There is a chest in a hidden alcove under the water under the bridges in the bridge puzzle are of Skull Castle.

There are many areas that are difficult to get to but I wouldn't call them "hidden".

Radek 02-28-2005 10:27 AM

1. Many. 2. AFAIK none I can remember 3 hidden areas in the Crypt, 1 hidden (or, rather, seemingly unaccessible) area at the Oracles, 5 hidden areas in the Serpent Temple (including the Statue of Kerah), 1 hidden chest in the Skull Castle, 2 hidden area in the Shrine of Anephas (including the "shortcut" from the first floor to the lowest floor) and 2 hidden chests in the Pyramid. Only the chests in the Pyramid contain something useful: one of them is an "almost always an artifact" chest and the second contains the last Tome of Wisdom.

Bungleau 02-28-2005 12:26 PM

Okay, let me clarify a bit. I'm not talking about secret-door hidden. I'm talking about places that the developers didn't think you would get to, but because so many of us have played so many times, we've gotten bored and explored. So places like the area behind the Oracles counts, while the Kerah statue room in the Serpent Temple doesn't.

I can think of four areas, including the spot behind the Oracles. One of them contains something really useful, and another contains something integral to the game, but not particularly useful by itself.

The follow-on question will be how many secret rooms, etc. there are... and where

Wyvern 02-28-2005 02:18 PM

So would the top of the Serpent Temple / Skull castle / city gates all qualify as "hidden" ??

Bungleau 02-28-2005 02:24 PM

Boy... I need to figure out how to ask better questions! :D

Yes, they'd count. And that now raises my own number to... seven. Interesting... I've never gotten to the top of either the Serpent Temple or Skull Castle, but thinking about it, I see that I could... :D

bsftcs 02-28-2005 03:51 PM

Apart from the ones I have mapped and the ones already mentioned in this thread, I can think of the belfry, the balcony over the entrance hall in Shurugeon Castle, and the treasure chamber beneath the Gypsies' house.

Bungleau 02-28-2005 05:42 PM

There is still one more that hasn't been listed yet...

Pop 'n Fresh 03-01-2005 05:32 AM

The top of every single tree section??

and would the last 1 be the top of Dragon spire

Pop 'n Fresh 03-01-2005 05:36 AM

No wait i know it!

Although i haven't seen it somewhere ( i think it was the Missy adventures ( cool! ) ) i read
that theres a secret chamber with Anephas
that u can vanish through near teh Monkey Chute.

Am i right?

Bungleau 03-01-2005 10:18 AM

Ding ding ding! Correct, Pop 'n Fresh. That's the other one I was thinking of (and I've never seen it either).

Anyone for another question? Pop open a new thread for it if you would...

Pop 'n Fresh 03-01-2005 05:33 PM

any1 got 1 because i'm sure i'll take 2 days or so, so if you have 1 go right ahead.

Name the 2 Boogre Factions in the Boogre cave.
Who was Torin's father?
Who is hiding in the Ruins of Bersault?
Who were the three watchers?
Who is the first person in the crypt to drop a wand? ( party members not included )
What is the name of the head Gypsy?
Altogether how many horses, rafts and boats are there?
Kerielle's twin said that when she was attacked by the dragon she hid in a small hole was that

A. Boogre Entrance
B. Dragon Spire Entrance
C. Her Hut

Who loves music alot?
Serpent Queen is named?
The servant is named?
Name the Important Creatures in the crypt. ( they don't respawn ( skel lords are unimportant)
.
.
.
.
.
Ok that should be fairly easy and thats just a revision over wat you have learnt from the game.

G'ezered Ra (?sp?) loves music
Serpent queen is ...Ellysia?

Crypt creatures of import: Scabban, rumphy (he respawns tho), Ghosts of wizard & warrior, Flocis Ra (?sp?)...

How did I do?

bsftcs 03-01-2005 09:31 PM

-Plunders and tinkers.
-Grunaxe.
-Gorthius.
-Nivius, D'Soto and Erathsmedor - although Oakenmir once was the third.
-Rumphy - if one goes to him first.
-Harespia.
-2 horses, 1 raft and 2 ships.
-First time in B - nowadays in C.
-G'Ezzered Ra.
-Elyssia.

I'll leave the remaining two unanswered for you others.

As to the monkey chute: It is important that one vanishes from the left tunnel (when entering the area) into the chute. From the right one the vanish spell wil not get the character in there.

Pop 'n Fresh 03-02-2005 04:01 AM

SO far bsftcs has got them all right.

There are 9 special creatures in the crypt

jsalsb 03-02-2005 06:42 AM

if Erzebette hid in the dragon spire, who is it that tells you that, once while hiding from the dragon, they took shelter in the entrance to a cave or hovel on an island to the north??

Bungleau 03-02-2005 11:23 AM

I think I know this one! I think it's Grunaxe.

Pop 'n Fresh 03-04-2005 01:59 AM

Ok i haven't played for a while but i was under the impression that she hid in the entrance of the boogre caves and then the good ole gnome came, comforted her and then built her a small ol'fireproof house.

Pop 'n Fresh 03-06-2005 06:44 AM

OK people let's just admit it.

W&W isn't exactly a complex game and isn't that long either. So to put it at basic. WE KNOW 2 MUCH!! I'll give 50$ to the first person to make an impossible question.

bsftcs 03-06-2005 05:39 PM

I thought the question concerning the narrator's speeches was next to impossible. Like how many crates and barrels are there in the game?

Bungleau 03-06-2005 11:09 PM

3,724.... but who's counting? :D

A more challenging question might be what percentage of the crates and barrels in the game are *not* movable...

Radek 03-07-2005 03:18 AM

Another suggerstion. If you need a bit of challenge then pass Collasium without underwater breathers and without casting the Breath of Air spell. In the other words, do you know well, where you can replenish your air supply in Collasium?

Pop 'n Fresh 03-07-2005 04:49 AM

...........................

I'm not gonna pay you people i'm just letting you know that. We could have teh entire party with iron lung trait and then go through collasium but then again you could just use 1 of the hundreds of air pockets that are poking around in collasium.

Large Numbers seems to be the way with impossible questions yet alot of these questions are possible.

Possible: Name every character.

Impossible: Name every character without being longer than a line.

BTW how many Serpent Temple Servants or previous servants are there in the game. I can think of about 7.
