is it possible to get to ishad n'ha without completing the crypt? because im still having trouble there and so i just want to skip that part of the game

thnx

If you can cast Vanish then you can :D

One possibility is Vanishing through the closed barrier at the Oracles. But beware! There seems to be no way back from Ishad N'Ha in this case! At least, I wasn't able to Vanish back

Another possibility is Vanishing through the underwater grate at Rephtian. This way, you can skip the Crypt almost completely and reach the Gold Key and Nivius still. The advantage of this method is that you will have the signet ring so that you can make the Oracles to open the way to Isnad N'Ha.

If you cannot cast Vanish then you have to complete the Crypt. There is no side way (at least, no side way known to me) to reach Ishad N'ha in this case.

where do you get vanish from is it a spell?

bsftcs 09-22-2004 07:48 AM

Yes. Level 6 moon spell.

You can, of course, acquire it by levelling up.

I believe there is a book of vanish out there. But I do not think it is sold in the shops.

Taski 09-22-2004 08:42 AM

...but what is still your prob in the crypt ? The elevator ? ;)

burnzey boi 09-23-2004 03:30 AM

ummm yeah i guess my computor is too dark but i see a line acroos the frame would that be a crack?
or is it a different shape?

bsftcs 09-23-2004 09:48 AM

The elevator is a square stone pillar of which you can only see the front. (It blends in like a wall). The receptacle is just to left on the wall next to the elevator.

You will be cheating yourself for one of the best dungeons of the game if you do not complete it.

So So 09-23-2004 07:24 PM

has anyone tried stacking stoned creatures and etc. until it reaches to over the cave and walking on top of the cave?... or is that impossible because of two different maps?

aleph_null1 09-23-2004 08:18 PM

It's not two different maps -- the middle map doesn't start until after Ishad N'ha.

So it should certainly be possible, but I've never done it or heard of anyone who had.

Well if you really don't feel like doing the crypt, you can just leave from there by going back up the spiral stairs (jump the gap (try looking more UP than forward... physics in the Gael Serran is odd)) and exit the building. Then you can do your Vanish-ing trick through the caves (they're north, up a North-South river) and go on to Ishad N'ha.

Frankly, the Signet is a pretty nice ring, and I'd suggest getting it ;)

burnzey boi 09-24-2004 08:10 AM

but there is no opening,do you have to cast vaish to get out? another thing, what about alga meshes thing how do i get that?

bsftcs 09-24-2004 09:56 AM

Algamesh's necklace is in a chest in the second room on the winding tunnel that leads from the transition room (the first room) in the crypt. The door has a level 2 lock, so you may not have opened it yet.

And Stackman says: Yes it is possible to stack one's way up there, but it is not possible to jump over - there is an invisible barrier. The same is the case if one tries to tree surf past the mountain.

So So 09-24-2004 05:22 PM

Hum interesting... I guess the makers did put in some precautions to make us go through at least a few parts of the game...

Bungleau 09-24-2004 11:06 PM

I was wondering if the mighty Stackman was going to respond to this thread... :D

And I am not disappointed...

burnzey boi 09-29-2004 07:46 AM

heyy i just had one of my wierd thoughts.. what is the main point in this game? you go and collect the mavin (or so you think) and you just wander around the game. what is the main problem in this story?

Radek 09-29-2004 07:52 AM

Your ultimate goal is killing the evil boss What else Well, the evil boss is immune to anything except the Mavin Sword and one more weapon. Therefore, you need to collect these weapons and then fight your way to the boss.

Bungleau 09-29-2004 10:38 AM

The storyline develops along the way. Gareth sent you on a mission to go to the tomb of Nivius, and from there, things lead you to Ishad N'ha and beyond. It's the usual "save the world" mission (which involves meeting and dealing with the evil boss, but not necessarily killing him ;) ).

bsftcs 09-29-2004 01:55 PM

Incidentally: Did you know that "killing" means kitten in Danish? :D

Bungleau 09-29-2004 02:33 PM

Hmmm... I learn something new every day... :D
