Quote:

Welcome to the Boogre Bar, where you can share your humiliating, astounding, stupid, or just mundane experiences within the Gael Serran! There is a full service bar with elven wines, dwarven ale, and of course BOOGRE BREW! Please, all come and join, we'll have lots of fun!

-Jafin

Didja see her? She was there, honest! *smacks self* But the place was a mess! All dirty and dusty, with bottles strewn across the tables and boots stuck -- stuck! -- in the spilled stuff on the floor!

In honor of Willow's (hopefully not) brief return, I bring to you the Boogre Bar VII, the latest incarnation of the greatest place for a drink in the Gael Serran. And no, the Department of Public Health had nothing to do with the closing of the last one

So come one and all, belly up to the bar, and have a round of the Gael Serran's finest liqueurs and lagers, from a good Stout ale to a zingy spider cider and everything inbetween. Try some of the new Jungle Lily nectar, and perhaps a mug of Dragon's Blood. And of course, the Gael Serran's only legal distributors of Boogre Brew, the finest hops- and barley-based comestible in the land.

So step up, help yourself to some pixie chips, and make yourselves at home. Just be sure to put the lid down when you're done

*pours himself a stout ale and relaxes onto a bar stool, waiting for company*

Bungleau 07-27-2004 12:23 PM

*sits back and wonders* Hmmm... Perhaps someone would be willing to transfer Wyv's mural from the other bar. It sure would add some color in here

Willow, here's a Boogre Brew on the house for you. Fortifying for those long days and restless nights...

bsftcs 07-27-2004 02:12 PM

And the only reason why the public health authorities had nothing to do with the closing down was because Bungleau did some serious bribing back there... :D

So cheers everybody - welcome hither.

Bungleau 07-27-2004 03:10 PM

Hey, hey, hey... ix-nay on the ibing-bray. This is an election year...

*sends a decaf mana max potion down to bsftcs*

Here. Take a load and an edge off. Got any more oddball law stories to pass along?

bsftcs 07-27-2004 03:24 PM

I am working on it. There are some very good things to pass along, but it takes a while to dig it up. I can, however relate to you that it was not until the early 1980's that every "free-born man" was no longer obliged to muster his own horse in case of a general mobilization. By then that scenario had been a practical improbability for about two hundred years.

I may not have something every day, but I will see what I can dig up.

Bungleau 07-27-2004 03:43 PM

So... it was required that every man own a horse? Neat...

And don't worry. Whenever you come up with something interesting, that will be just fine by me :D

*Edit* On a side note, I've just built up a new PC and loaded XP onto it. So in short order, I'll be getting ready to install W&W and review all the stuff in the Tech Tips thread for how to make it work :D

Lord 07-27-2004 10:38 PM

Hit me with 1 jungle lilly nectar...cuz the salads themselves are funfilled and delicious fried

Bungleau 07-27-2004 11:35 PM

One jungle lily nectar coming up.... and some fried salad, too. It's amazing what the food suppliers give you to help start up a new place. Lots of neat things

Hey, a pack of fresh worgur steaks! *puts several on the fold-out grill* Okay, how do you like yours?

So So 07-28-2004 08:31 AM

Worgur... It's what's for dinner...

It's been awhile... alright new place? wow... hum... I like mine's medium done Bungleau... and a round of Dragon's Blood for me too...

Bungleau 07-28-2004 11:08 PM

Medium for So So... same for me. You can always cook 'em a little longer if you need to, but you can't un-cook 'em :D

And Dragon's Blood, too. I'm going to take a glass of Nighon wine... just the thing to soothe your soul.

Long day today, with a meeting in the morning and a golf outing in the afternoon. Spent in the company of someone who drove me nuts, as well. At least I don't have to do this again until... oh, tomorrow morning :D

Bungleau 08-04-2004 02:55 PM

*walks in and opens the shades* Mornin' all! A glorious day out here in western Meeee-chigan. We got a new hardwood floor installed in our entryway and kitchen, and it looks great! Now to finish the last couple of installation things, and it will be ready for prime time.

On a less joyous note, we're dog-sitting for some friends of ours, and on Sunday, poor Emma (85 pound Golden Retriever) was chasing a ball in the park when she somehow tore her ACL! A vet diagnosed that on Monday, and she's scheduled for surgery in a couple of weeks. We had to handle things for our friends, who are in Russia adopting a child. As if they didn't have enough to worry about... there I go crippling their dog :(

'Course, when it rains, it pours. One of their sons fell just before they left for Russia and broke his collarbone. :(

*looks around for the Gael Serran equivalent of a Diet Mountain Dew* Hmmm.... I guess a glass of Lily Nectar will have to do. Or should I say "dew"... :D

bsftcs 08-07-2004 01:39 PM

*Takes the usual decaffeinated mana max potion*

It is amazing how much posting we have had here lately. It is hard for me to keep up. :(

THEN WORK HARDER!!!!

Just kidding :D , maybe it means it's time for me to start chipping in some more :D

So So 08-08-2004 04:50 PM

Bungleau... your steak is g. beyond words... I'd say one of the best in this tri-state... or tri-realm area....

hum... a round of dragons' blood for me... and time to see what's been going on around here...

Greyem 08-08-2004 05:20 PM

Greeting all. I am very pleased to inform you that Cet is once again, No More! Wooooo Hoooo! I killed him, I killed him. Bungleau, do you still have that brew booster scroll, cause I think now might be a good time to put it to use.
Thanks to all on these boards for your help.
My son is now going to take on the evil scum of the Gael Seran.

Drinks and steaks and salad and anything else you need is on me my friends.

At last,

Greyem of Kamberra..Cet Slayer!

Bungleau 08-08-2004 09:25 PM

Woohoo! Way to go, Greyem! *rustles under the bar* Ahhh.... one Brew Bewster scroll... Keep out of the reach of... nevermind.

*reads the incantation*

*steam starts to come out of the beer taps*

Dragon's blood for So So... and a Bewsted Boogre Brew for Greyem.

Hey, bsftcs! Can you check in the back for more worgur steaks? I think we're gonna need 'em :D

bsftcs 08-09-2004 02:16 AM

I believe they are back there, but you will have to depetrify them first since Stackman and his party made a makeshift stairway out of them last time they were here. :D

bsftcs 08-10-2004 12:25 PM

Incidentally, did you know that if one translated the word "download" directly into Danish (nedlade) it would mean "to condescend"... Hence we ude the word download as a foreign word... :D

So So 08-10-2004 09:50 PM

lol... Foreign word?... hum... I think I might go condescend a few files later... hehe..

Hum... I'll take a medium well worgur steak... and the house's finest Blood of Lily for this evening's meal...

Olli Kalma 08-22-2004 08:00 AM

He walks in the bar, clothes wet and
eye's blurred...

" Get me some Nymph Coffee! and quick! "

He sit's down near the fireplace and looks around.
Hmmph. that sure was long trip!
I'm quite broken now...

" Where's my Nymph Coffee?! "
" Oh, sorry... I didn't notice that you allready brought me one "

" I think I'd better to go and get some sleep now... See you soon... "

bsftcs 08-22-2004 04:28 PM

My, Olli. I dare say you have been a long time gone. Nice to see you again. So what is new in the Land of the Thousand Lakes?

[ 08-22-2004, 04:29 PM: Message edited by: bsftcs ]

Bungleau 08-22-2004 11:36 PM

*sticks his head out of the back room*

Was that Olli? Really? My, it's been a long time since he's been in.

Erm... bsftcs, you did make a fresh batch of Nymph coffee, didn't you? That pot had the stuff from the LAST time he was in...

Come back soon, Olli, and tell us what's going on in the land of eternal sun.

Olli Kalma 08-23-2004 02:27 PM

B! You must know that we have had most rainy summer for a long time! ( think we have couple of new lakes now ;) )

Sure I'm tired...
Who wasn't if had traveled back from bottom.
And I mean that deepest pit you ever can imagine...

Now I don't care how old that coffee is, it must only be warm, it's getting cold out there! Don't you think?

Well, anyway, it's good to see you all.
Think I'm going to stay here for awhile

bsftcs 08-23-2004 06:11 PM

New on the Boogre Bar menu card: Nymph coffee... Now also served cold...

Bungleau 08-23-2004 10:13 PM

He he he he he! Nice move... *snort* Cold!

Olli, IIRC you were in an accident a while back. If my memory is right, I hope you're doing well. If it's not, then I'm glad it wasn't you

*settles back with a low-carb Boogre Brew*

Olli Kalma 08-24-2004 02:38 PM

B, gladly I was fully recovered from that car crash. Physically I mean.

I have focused on my studies and whole summer
I have been working.

Now it's time for little adventure, right? ;)

So So 08-24-2004 08:43 PM

wow... car crash... omg... thankfully you're alright... anything you want on me... well techincally on Valeria's inn... but let's leave that between you and me... ...

Jafin 09-02-2004 10:08 PM

*pokes his head in*

Good to see things running well. I'm not back for the long haul, just checking to see how things are going I may poke in a bit more often though, who knows. Anyways, just sayin' hi!

-Jafin

aleph_null1 09-02-2004 11:26 PM

Wow, I've not been in the Boogre Bar for an awfully long time... just back from other bars, and glad to see that life continues as normal :D

The only thing is that I'm afraid that this storm will head north enough to Maryland to cause at least some decent winds -- I'm sailing all weekend in Annapolis Race Week regattas, and as I'm sort of a light weight I hope things don't get too exciting...

Bungleau 09-03-2004 01:05 AM

Jafin! What a pleasure to see you again! I hope you like the shape the bar's in... Wyv painted a great mural on the last one

Your... erm.... franchise fees are in a bag just inside the office. *wink wink*

And Aleph_null1, you bring happiness with your presence. I hope that Frances brings you just enough wind to win...

So So 09-21-2004 07:34 PM

*Walks into a dark bar... barkeep asleep... cobwebs everywhere... windows broken and pasted with dirt and grime... chairs and tables overturned... *

Hum... does anyone even come here anymore?... I thought this was a new establishment... ... anyways... Barkeep!... a round on me for my new promotion... if we still have beer in this place...

and a little something to get this bar's economic state going... *a bag of Gold materializes from thin air and land on the counter* Blood to Gold... complements of So So...

Bungleau 09-22-2004 10:41 PM

Eh? What's that? A customer? A CUSTOMER!

*smacks bsftcs* Get up! There's a real-live customer out there!

*looks around* Hmmm... things have gotten a little dilapidated, haven't they?

*posts a sign on the wall*

There. "Help Wanted: Floor sweeper and general wait staff. Good wages, excellent benefits"

Let's see what that turns up.

*slides the new gold into the till*

One boogre brew for So So, in honor of his promotion! And a round for everyone else... *looks around* okay, a round for me :D

*rummages around, looking for a fantasia scroll to animate some brooms*

jsalsb 09-22-2004 10:48 PM

It's been ages since I stopped off for a nice frothy Boogre Brew. So now there's an actual occation. A round on me in honour of the new little one!

Though I must decline on the "help wanted" however, as I'm not around nearly enough to be of any real service!

Cheers!

Bungleau 09-22-2004 11:21 PM

Hmmm... ya know, we can use part-time help too, jsalsb.... :D

aleph_null1 09-22-2004 11:25 PM

Just my luck, show up after the free drinks are already bought...

I'll just have two at once; playing catch up!

bsftcs 09-23-2004 09:51 AM

It is unfair waking the helpers from their sleep. :D

jsalsb 09-23-2004 01:09 PM

As for the job - you mentioned benefits. Do you have the Mutual of Valeia Health Plan? Or are you part of the Ishad N'HMO?

Or is it just an all the brew you can drink sort of benefit?

So So 09-23-2004 07:13 PM

Hum... job openings?... I could do this on the side to my salad-control work...

bsftcs 09-29-2004 02:01 PM

Just came to celebrate the fact that the quintesson period has been shortened by the invention of new ranks. Who would have though it could be a privilege being promoted to the Devil? :D

So So 09-29-2004 04:44 PM

hahaz... well... you have to admit that rank has a cool icon...
