center sister... aim your cursor... forgot the exact words you have to say to get her to open the door... someone else might be able to help...

"Fate" or "Destiny" is the trigger -- say it to the middle Oracle & it'll open the cave wall to your left.

That should get you in there without a real problem... after all, the entire game is about your fate (according to Kerah, as related by Harespia :D ).

Declining to join will give you much more money and many more experience points. So that would be my bet for a first time party.

Once you get to Xydusa the Naga, I suggest you leave her alive until you have met Elyssia. That way one of your characters will gain the snakeskin trait which is very useful. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Don't have enough money... have like two gold and join... either that or don't join at all and kill the guy... hope that helps... and oh yea... it'd be best if you brought cure poison potions or learn the spell before really going thru the temple....

If you can afford to join, then do so. Then talk to every priest you meet and try to trade with him. He'll sell you his gold coin... get as many as you can. They will be very useful in a little bit...

Now, while the priests can drop coins when they die, they don't always do so... but they will always sell them. With the number of these coins that you'll be needing (as few as 16, as many as 66 with no mistakes), it's worth getting them as easily as possible.

And once you've got them all, you can then drop out of the Serpents Guild and do battle with all who think it's a bad idea :D

I will add one correction to Bungleau's post: If you use Stackman's method to get to Kreug's study you will not need the monkey idols, and when you do not need them you only need from eleven to sixty-one serpin coins. Confused? :confused: :D

Question: I only play solo parties, but I thought that all of your party would get Snakeskin (usually on the 2nd or 3rd crash-induced reload :D )...

Only the person who drinks the nectar gets snakeskin. The rest get to watch that person's eyes bulge out... :D

And bsftcs, thanks for reminding me. I actually miscounted doors, I think, because I forgot all about the "shopping" usage of the serpent coins [img]smile.gif[/img]
