ok i created a rattling rogue and left the inn, upon leaving, i am greeted by gareth, but he is going in super fast motion and is done his hole speech in about a secound (literaly), it was so fast i couldn't even read the text, and gareth looked like a blur

This sounds rather weird. What kind of system do you have? If your OS is Windows XP, have you tried the compatibility modes?

I know this happens if you enable compatibility mode in Windows and then start the game without rebooting the computer. It happened to me. I kinda liked it since I didn' have to listen to all the rants. Unfortunately it doesn't affect the shop keepers.

Try rebooting your computer and then start the game once more. [img]smile.gif[/img]

You know I'm a little confused myself. ;) However, in my second post I was talking about Kol. I have no idea why I posted "magician" though. [img]graemlins/confused2.gif[/img] It should've said heretic. ;) The dialogue between im and a certain scaled creature was unfortunaely not affected by this bug in my game.

Hmmm... when we visited Mr. Big-Green-and-Scaly last night, his conversation with Kol lasted about three seconds... ending in a *chomp* *smack* *smack* :D

And the windbag I was thinking of has darker reddish robes, I think... but he's still in the same glowing tower [img]smile.gif[/img]

Now, giving the shroud to Erathsmedor was a little trickier... I really hate the "Give Item"... "Okay..." sequence that tells you you're too far away. :(

Well, that's definitely something worth bragging about, to be sure. I'm jealous, frankly... I just went through five rogues and an assassin getting the Mada Mabbig quest from Sabastio. Click on quest, go clean a room. Click yes, take a drink. Switch to new character, repeat. Most cleaning I've done in a while... :D
