This is not the ususal how to kill Drizzt question. I'm already sick of all the strategies to kill him. Instead I'd like to know have any of you ever successfully picked his pockets and if you did then which items do you get by pickpocketing him until it says that target has no valid items . Thx in advance.

I was wondering how many scimtars does drizzt have

Arledrian 04-27-2003 01:03 AM

Two, but as far as I know, you can only grab one.

Lord Dracon 04-27-2003 02:11 AM

thanks arledrian cause when i killed him i was wondering if I got ripped off when I only found 2 scimtars

Vedran 04-28-2003 05:29 AM

How many scimitars could he have? He is a fighter, not a store.

Lord Dracon 04-28-2003 05:48 AM

Well I thought he had three a plus 4 one or something. I don't know why, I thought it a bit odd anyway, but I was wrong.

Another thing does he still hold 2 scimtars when you pickpocket him.

Flaming Fist Enforcer 04-28-2003 07:48 AM

Yes, his look will not change (nor the look of anyone else in the game) when you pickpocket him/her. It is unusual and makes no sense at all but that`s just the way it is.

Raistlin Majere 05-06-2003 02:47 PM

Actually, you can steal both his scimitars, because he doesnt really *wield* them, since you cant steal weapons out of someones hands. He just has them in his inventory, but his paper doll wields both and he hits around 30 damage points regardless of whether or not he has the scimitars. The only thing you cant steal is his armor.

This is true, although you can nick the Rings right off someone's fingers without their noticing. Yeah. Sure. Let's see you try THAT in real life.

It's certainly easier to steal a cloak then to steal a ring (in real life, I mean), especially if the person is holding something in his/her hand. How is it even possible then to take the ring?

Shake a hand, then slip it off his finger/s...but then said MUCH,MUCH easier than done.

I believe they are not wearing the equipment that you can steal off them. I recall trying to steal something off some guy, but it just said that he has nothing to steal, but after killing him/her i got a RoP+1. When that happens, i think they are actually using the item.

Put your Pickpocket skills to the test: Take a character (Kivan, for instance) and load him up: Stuff his Backpack full of Scrolls, stick 3 Potions in his Quick Items, and fill every slot of his Paperdoll (Shield, Ammo slots, Quick Weapons, the works). Pickpocket the hell out of him. You should wind up with his entire backpack full of Scrolls, his Potions, all of his Quick Weapons except the one that's currently in his hand, and his Rings. You will not get his Armor, Helmet, Boots, Shield, Gauntlets, Ammo, or Belt. I'm not too sure about the rest.

So, Raistlin, it might just be possible that BioWare stuck your dude's RoP+1 in his Helmet slot, to prevent its being Pickpocketed. Stranger things have happened, as I'm sure we all know....

Heh, in BG2, I remember CtrlQing (making him join the party) some elf, and he had a sword in his hand that was red, meaning that he cannot use it. He could swing it, of vourse, but not reequip it. Funny.
