I've read a few posts where they suggested that in the Boogre caves you can get up the walls in the stick room by jumping up them, but I can't figure out how to do that. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I'm new to this board, is there anyway to search? I don't see a search link on the board.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Gday Harleyquinn,
I have never been able to climb the walls in the stick room from the ground, but you can climb further then you think possible by facing upwards & holding both the run & jump buttons at the same time & keeping them held. Sometimes you have to use the directional buttons as well because you can slide sideways a bit.
You should be able to find enough sticks in the Boogre cave, I usually find 4.

It's kind of fiddly and similar to how you climb on top of the wall in Brimloch Roon to tree surf.

Place one of the wooden pieces near the far end near the exits (the left takes you to the vale and Doshi Gin, the right to the treasure chest at the entrance). Jump onto the pole - this is not too hard since you can line up against the wall and run, look up a bit and jump. The hard bit is once you are on the pole, look straight up at the ceiling, jump and as you are near the top move across so that you land on the ledge.. Takes a lot of practice, adn quite frankly, it's not that hard getting the four wooden pieces anyway..

Welcome to the Board, harleyquinn !!!!

You've made it this far....through the 'Gael Serrans' test,
...All you need do is ...ask......and we'll help with the rest... :D

you can do this if, you hold down the...Shift + up arrow + Num pad 0 and use the mouse to look almost straight up....all at the same time. It's a little aukward at first, but once you get the hang of it....you'ld be supprised at what you can climb...

Good Luck... http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon14.gif

Okay :D but I recommend getting those four sticks instead (they are exactly four in the dungeon). It costs less nerves - at least, It costs me less nerves in my game :D

You don't need all 4 sticks. I don't remember if you could do it with just 1, but you can get out with 2 sticks. 3 does make it easier though.

harleyquinn....

A few things I forgot in my first post...get a running start at the wall and...it helps if you use a character with high 'Athletic' skills.

Also...once you get high enough...use the mouse to look straight ahead. this will put you on top.

IMHO...it found it more aggravating to use the sticks...put this one here...climb up there...put one in here....jump down...take that one and move it there. Too much monkey bussiness.

*note to kev...
Welcome back....haven't seen you round here for a while. Did the kids commandeer your puter????
...lol

Gday Packrat,
I had to catch up with some study. I've been doing so much that my head hurts, I'm not used to thinking so much. I've had too use my pc for working on of all things. One more exam & I will be able to play games again.

Welcome to the board, harleyquinn!!!

Hopefully you have figured out how to use the sticks by placing them in the holes in the wall of the "stick room". Doing so causes different blocks to come forward (not always conveniently placed). Using the sticks in different holes should result in you creating sort of a "stairway" to climb out.
Running, and jumping help a lot here especially if you have high athletics (if one character's athletics is higher than the rest, choose that character as your lead). Do explore both exits!

Good luck!

P.S. The SEARCH function is currently disabled - sometimes it causes the servers to overload and then Ziroc removes it for a while. Hopefully it will be back soon as it is VERY useful!

Well, now I can't wait to leave work and get home to try these suggestions. Thanks all of you for answering my question. I'm sure I'll be back later with more.
Gotta go look busy now, at least until my boss goes home, lol !

Welcome to the boards, harleyquinn. May you travel well throughout the Gael Serran, dispersing death, destruction, happiness, and joy where they are needed.

You've got the good answers (just keep jumping up until you get there), and they will work. On Xignal's page, you can find a hint that tells you exactly where you need to place the four rods to get out. I just placed the two I had in a spot where they made jumping up easier.
