Okey I bought W&W early this week and got some problems already...

1) Can't enter into graveyard path from first city, I must go to lake path and
find the way to graveyard.?!?

2) Can't enter into town hall. It just don't flash when I move cursor at it, like it does in every other building (Armory,Inn,Bar and Temple) and can't get into itwhen clicking that building.

3) I found that blessed ring at crypt ( mission from temple, I think it was mission 4) but when I try to return it into guild, it doesen't react it any way. Do I must do something before returning into guild?

4) What are best characters? What should I create.
I have lizard warrior, dwarf warrior, cat rogue, 2 oomph (elepfant) wizard and oomph priest. What would you suggest when I create my party again.?

Please help me... I'm so depressed already... If I don't solve thease problems this weekend, I might sell game to my friend...

As chi master said, Problems 1 & 2, are common...when running either Win 2K or Win XP. The fix can be found in the 'New tech thread...Here.

The Ring that you mentioned...Is it the Ring of the Saints???
The reward for this ring is 500 XP...no advancement. If the character with the quest...has the ring in their pack and is selected....when you enter the guild, they should get the points.

Your last question...about party selection...unless you're having trouble.....there's nothing wrong with the one you have. WW is very flexible...however...it can be hard to find armor for an Oomphaz...3 might be very difficult! And...IMHO....1 wizard should be enough...but thats a very minor point.

That ring was that Ring of the Saints, (can't remember all stuff and I'm not in home now so I can't check spelling... )
But I have it on my priests pack and priest entered into temple and went into guild, but nothing happened, didn't get experience and ring is still in priests pack. And I can't get another mission. Thats biggest problem.

I think your problem is that you're hitting the button to enter the guild as soon as you get into the temple. That interrupts the priest and he won't give you the points for getting the ring.

What you need to do is enter the temple with the ring in your priest's pack, and then just wait. Don't hit any of the buttons inside the temple until the priest is finished speaking to you. You'll run into that a lot in this game. If any character is speaking to you inside a building, or any character that you have to talk to for a quest, wait until he's done before you do anything.

Hope you have all the XP solutions applied now so your game is running correctly. With the guild quests, you do have to let the NPCs finish their speeches to get credit which was exactly the problem that sent me looking for help 2 years ago! ;)

You've already got the right answers (XP fix, virtualdub, and being patient with questgivers), so I won't add to that. But I will echo that simply posting a question around here inspires a response in short order -- you don't need to encourage us to post [img]smile.gif[/img]

So go save the Gael Serran, and do watch out -- they WILL hunt you down.

I am afraid that the Ring of Saints quest is already lost, Olli.
As Tater have said, you must be patient in the guilds. It is an annoying property of W&W but, I daresay, it can be survived. Let us summarize what to do in the guild when you want quest or a reward for a quest:

1. It does matter who is active in the guild. It does matter who has the quest item in the inventory. Therefore, give the quest item (the ring) to the quest owner before entering the guild and select the quest owner. Enter the guild.
2. WAIT!!! You will be invited first, then you will be said who is the guildmaster, etc., etc. ... And even then the guildmaster will notice that you have finished some quest.
3. BE PATIENT!!! Do not interrupt the guildmaster by leaving the guild, selecting another character, entering the private part of the guild, enchant, train and so on and so on when you are taking a quest or when you are getting a reward for a quest. Not being patient causes interruption of the ceremonial. Results: The quest is not given or the reward is lost forever! As far as taking quests is concerned, it does not matter too much. You can leave the guild, return and start taking the quest anew. But the reward is lost.

This might have happened to you with the ring. Perhaps, you weren't enough patient and did something that interrupted the guildmaster. Perhaps, you lost your reward this way - the guildmaster will never notice again that you have the ring. On the other hand, the ring is yours now.
Does it matter too much? No, if you do not lose other Temple quests. There are more quests in the game than promotions in the guilds, therefore, you will still be able to reach guild level 7 in the Temple. Moreover, if you aren't patched then there is the Jathil's quest bug, which will compensate you for the lost reward.
One final note: The Ring of Saints quest is the last Temple quest obtainable in Valeia. You cannot get more Temple quests there. Next quests are ready in Ishad N'Ha and Brimloch Roon.

If you still can´t get it to work no matter how long you wait, try installing the patch. That helped me with the same problem a long time ago. [img]smile.gif[/img] The patch can be found here.
