hey all!!! introducing another wondefull poll by LiOnHe@rT!!!!
okok enough with the crap. i want to hear everyone's opinions as to what school of magic in W&W do they like best....... is it school of Suncraft, Stonecraft, Mooncraft, Fiendcraft, Spiritcraft or Vinecraft  ??? pls. reply........... |
Suncraft is probably my favorite school of magic.
I like the LIGHT! and the distance spells prove very useful! ;) Wyv |
whoops 4got to add......
hey Wyvern looks like we're opposites. for me i really like Mooncraft coz of it's deadly freezing spells and it's travelling magic n time magic :D !!! i'm a great fan of Ice........ BEWARE!!! |
Fiendcraft is my favrite by far. Even though you don't get the xp's unless you time the killing perfectly, watching elementals battle your enemies is alot of fun!
That's how I killed the sphinx. With the summon fiend spell. I let them do the work and I circled around. When the sphinx's green bar got low, I ran in for the kill! I had to stand a way's back though, because elementals like to use area of effect spells. That sphinx was pretty powerful, too. It took down something like 8 summoned fiends. Blood bath is hilarious, too! Just have to make sure someone can cast Res. health quickly afterwards... |
IŽd go for stone magic! Meteorstorm, reflect damage, merlinŽs shield and petrification Sun is pretty nifty too
|
u had 2 summon fiends 2 kill the sphinx?! well i just went "CHIONG AR!!!!!!" n used every weapon i had n wacked the sphinx 2 death! ;) n most of the time i kept using spirit spells :D :D :D !!!
yea i kinda agree dat stone magic is gd but i'm still going with moon magic..... |
Stone. Meteorstorm is my friend.
Moon is a close second, for the teleport spells. I've still got problems getting stuck places and having to teleport out of them. I've also still got problems with everything being too damn dark, no matter what I do to the gamma. I didn't have either of these problems before I upgraded. I think my new graphics card just doesn't get along with the game very well. |
yea especially the ultra-irritating, stuck-in-the-floor bug........
the teleport spells are really gd, allowing u to travel almost ANYWHERE in the Gael Serran. n the status-changing spells like silence and shadow are SUPERB!!! :D |
I could get through the game without most magics but it would be a real trial without Moon magic. I use teleport & call of home all the time. That icestorm gives it an offensive capability as well.
There are so many places to get stuck in the game that teleport or vanish are a necessity. |
I'll agree with Kev. Between healing potions, cure poison potions, restore health potions, cure potions, and exorcism scrolls, I don't have a compelling need for Vine or Spirit. Offensive capabilities in Stone and Sun are nice, but can be offset through a strong sword and effective gameplay.
But that travelling ability through Moon magic, that can't be duplicated anywhere else. For that reason, I consider moon indispensable. |

Also note ...The above...tweak...only works on games with the patch... http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/no...ons/icon28.gif

darn, i'm facing SORT OF the same problem with the light but my game is unpatched !!!!!!
oh n bungleau, thx for supporting my idea dat moon magic is really the best of all........ :D oh btw, there's something i just found out between all those storm spells. the 5 storm spells (i included Whirling Devrish even though it's not a STORM...), Firestorm, Meteorstorm, Icestorm, Whirling Devrish and Bloodbath, all have different ways to hit the enemies. Firestorm is the best as it does mega area damage to enemies. Meteorstorm only damages enemies dat it hits DIRECTLY (so every piece of rock which comes flying down from the sky only damages the enemy if it lands on 1 of them) but it does mega single damage. Icestorm is equal for both area and single damage to enemies, so it's considered neutral. Bloodbath, as u all know, uses half the caster's hp to damage enemies, so the damage done depends on ur HP, but the effects of Bloodbath appears almost INSTANTLY after casting it ;) . Whirling Devrish does massive damage but it always moves around, so it can damage YOU too! hope these info. helps those who dun know abt. it yet......... |
